Nail Diary #366

October 28, 2015

Happy Hump day!  Yay, half way to the weekend and not too mention just a couple days away from Halloween.  I am just a little behind sharing my Halloween nails with you all.  So I think I am going to have to share a mani every day until Halloween.  So, sorry in advance for Halloween nail overload; this what happens when you procrastinate and then all the sudden October is almost over.

This one is super fun.  I have been having fun trying to perfect my water marbling skills.  This is a glow in the dark spooky marble.

Colors used are:  My base is Sally Hansen Insta-Dri white OMGhost.  Which I am totally freaked out because this is my favorite underwear for nail art and the bottle is almost empty, ECK!!!!  Why is it so hard to find quick dry whites?  #NAILPOLISHPROBS!  Anyhow OMGhost was the base for Sinful Colors Glow in the Dark, and yep that is the name how original huh lol.

My marble colors are:  Wet n Wild green Stand the test of lime, Wet n Wild orange The Clock strikes Orange and Sinful Colors dark purple Let’s Talk.  Turned out pretty cool; super stoked that I am getting better with each marble!

Of course I had to stamp it:

GITD Halloween nails

I added a Trick or Treat image from Messy Mansion plate MM22 and some CREEPY eyes from bundle monster plate BM-H08.

I love how these turned out.

Funny story I did them just in time for the haunted house we went to a few weeks ago.  As I was walking through the black light room I could not stop staring at my glowing talons!!  HAHA

July 8, 2015

Tonight I am going to share with you my various patriotic nails that I wore in the week leading up to the forth of July.  And since I am late (and lazy) I am just going to share all three in this one entry.

Fun fact:  my wedding anniversary is on July 4th.  Yep we got married at Viva Las Vegas on July 4th 12 years ago.  Now July 4th is one of my favorite days of the year and PS I love RWB manicures.

If you want specifics on polish names or stamping plates just shoot me a comment.  Otherwise sit back and enjoy.  Save these fun ideas for the next time you get the urge to do RWB nails.

December 13th, 2014

Happy Weekend!  I hope you are all having a great one.  I am super excited because I am nearly finished with all my Christmas shopping, yay!  Now starts the daunting task of wrapping them all.

I have a sweet festive manicure to show you tonight.  This time I wanted holiday nails but not too over the top so I decided to have just one festive accent nail.  On all my nails but one I used one of my 12.14 Square Hue colors.  This month is the last of the Square Hue passport collections and this month they took me to Rovaniemi.  Rovaniemi, huh maybe you are wondering where in the world is that?  Rovaniemi is the home town of Santa Claus, a village in Lapland Finland.  Absolutely perfect location for this month.  The color I picked to try first is a red micro glitter called Joulupukin Pajakyla.  Joulupukin Pajakyla is such a sexy red, I love the glam glow of the micro glitter.  For my ring finger I did a candy cane accent nail.  First I used my Sally Hansen Insta-Dri white and then added stripes with my straight nail vinyls and the red.  The accent was a little tricky, my colors wanted to bleed when I added my clear top coat.  Make sure you wait to until it is completely dry before you top coat it.

I really love how this turned out.  My nails scream holiday glam.

Once again Square Hue does not disappoint.  I can’t wait to see where Square Hue takes me in 2015.

Nail Diary #306

October 28, 2014

My nails tonight are going to give you a sugar craving.  Every year I do some sort candy corn nails.  I love to do them they are so fun and I get a ton of compliments on them.

Here are some of my past Candy Corn nail links… 2013   2012  2011

So this year I put a twist on an old favorite!  I decided to make Pixie Dust Candy Corn nails.

I started with all white nails using my new fav Sally Insta-Dri OMGhost.  I have been searching high and low for a new quick dry white, yay finally found one.  Who has time to wait for white undies to dry.

Color Used for Corn:  Closet to the cuticles is Zoya Gold Pixie Dust Solange, middle Zoya Tangerine orange Pixie Dust Destiny  and of course my OMGhost white on the tips (had to settle for regular polish since I don’t have a pure white Pixie Dust, hint hint Zoya).  I did use a touch of glitter over my white tips China Glaze Make a Spectacle.  These colors were all sponged on with my makeup sponge.

So I want to show you them with (shiny) and without top coat (matte textured).  I prefer them with top coat but tell me what you think 🙂

I love how these sparkle in the October sun.  Now I am going to go grab some candy!

Hello my pretties!!

Happy Sunday!!  Man o man this weekend went by quickly.  I have a blogger confession, I am behind on sharing my Halloween nails.  I don’t have a great excuse; mostly I have been busy watching horror movies.  So tonight I have a double feature to show you.

Crack and glitter

Crack and glitter

This is a super simple 3:2 halloween look that I did early last week.

Colors used Sinful Colors grey My Turn with Black Magic grey and orange glitter over top.  On my other three nails I used Sally Hansen Scaredy matte black with Julep Sabrina orange crack over the top.

My second feature has some stamping involved.  Did these later last week.

Ghosts and webs oh my

Colors used on all fingers China Glaze Cast a Spell a dark green/black with gold shimmer finish. Love this color.

Stamped index with web from BM-013 using Konad white.  Stamped middle fingers with Mr ghost from BM-223 using that same white.  On my thumb and pinky I cracked them out with China Glaze crack Tarnished Gold.  If you can’t tell I love the cracked vibe for Halloween manis.  Over my crack I added some China Glaze glitter Boo-gie Down.  Boo-gie Down was also used on my middle finger minus the crack.  I love this skittle mani.

Nail Diary #303

October 14, 2014

These next nails are in honor of the new season of The Walking Dead starting a few days ago, I love that show.  I have been watching since the first season.  I can’t wait to see where this next season takes Rick and the gang.  Unfortunately I have not had a chance to watch Sunday’s episode yet, thanks to a DVR mishap but I am hoping to catch it on Friday.

So for these Zombified nails I used six Bundle Monster plates.

IMG_5670

First I started with nude undies.  I used a Sally Hansen Insta-Dry nude called Sand Storm.  Sand Storm made for a good base color.  Bear with me all my nails have a different design, so I will just list them by finger below.

Thumbs:  Are a bloody crime scene.  Used two different reds China Glaze Naughty and Nice (a darker shade to look like dried blood) and Orly Grave Mistake (fresh blood color).  Plates used BM-416 for the splatters and caution tape stamped with Konad black from BM-412.

IMG_5666

Index and middle fingers were both done using three colors and a makeup sponge.  I wanted a multi color grungy base.  Colors used closet to cuticle Square Hue Rodeo Drive, middle color Zoya dark grey Claudine and on tips China Glaze Agro an army green.  Stamping on my index fingers are a spooky web from BM-013 using Konad White layered with creepy zombie hands in black from BM-H08 on top of web.  Stamping on my middle finger is a red blood drip from BM-405 using Orly Grave Mistake and layered on top was a RIP grave stone with a couple zombie hands also from plate BM-H08.

Ring finger is solid China Glaze Agro then stamped with more zombie hands from BM-H08.

IMG_5664

Pinky finger is the nude Sand Storm base with a blood splat image from BM-H06 using Orly Grave Mistake.

Once I got these all stamped, I topped them off with my matte top coat for more of a creep factor.

I am pretty happy with how these turned out.  I love how each nail is different.

Thanks for stopping by!! ❤
