Trick on Treat
Smell my feet
Give me something good to eat!!!
Tonight is beggars night in my town. Here in Iowa we ask for a joke before we give out the candy. You got to work for your candy, muwahahahaha. I hear this is not a common practice. I wouldn’t know because I have only begged in Iowa.
So I took my mani from Monday Nail Diary #218 and added some fun Halloween images for this spooky night.
On my pinky, index and thumb I had used a SquareHue polish called Iron Horse.
On my ring and middle fingers I had used a China Glaze orange polish called Riveting.
Tonight over Riveting I added a Maybelline polka dot glitter called Dotty. Dotty is a multi size black and white glitter in an orange jelly base. Looks fab over my existing orange. Over Iron Horse I used Wet n Wild A Blank Canvas white to stamp on various images from my bundle monster plates BM-H07 and BM-413. A skull on my pinky, mr skeleton on my index and trick or treat on my thumb.
I think these turned out super sweet. Just perfect for trick or treat night.
Have a very Happy Halloween!!

Well hello. Happy Halloween week!!
I have a short but sweet mani to show you tonight.
I did a 3:2 mani. Very simple but super sexy.
On my pinky, index and thumb I used a SquareHue polish called Iron Horse. Yep this is my new favorite black polish. And no not all black polishes are the same. This one is amazing.
On my ring and middle fingers I used a China Glaze orange polish called Riveting.
This is from the hunger games line. Riveting is a foil like orange with a gold shimmery finish. Love this pretty!
I have been doing Halloween nails all month you would think I would be sick of them by now; nope not at all.
In fact I am going to miss October.

Thanks for stopping by!! ❤❤

Nail Diary #217

Wednesday October 23, 2013
I want candy!!!!! I want candy so bad. I have been on this lean protein diet and candy is so not on the list. I would love to have a piece but I really need to be good.
I think I will have a piece or two on actual Halloween. I can’t wait.
So my cravings come through on my nails this time.
I did a 3:2 mani.
On my thumb, index and little finger I used an orange neon, China glaze Orange Knockout, neon. Over that I added a black and white multi glitter, Hard Candy Black tie Optional. This multi shape glitter tones down the neon just enough. So pleased with how this combo turned out. I was so worried the neon would be overkill, but I’d say it totally isn’t, right?
On my middle and ring I did a sponge gradient in purples. Colors used:
Wet n Wild Who is Ultra Violet
Square Hue Groovy Love
Sally Hansen Lacey Lilac
Once my purples dried I added a candy stamp from BM-306 using my Orange Knockout, neon and then Sinful Colors Black on Black . Love the double stamp effect. Love the color combo and love the glitter.
But what do you think is it too much…I mean can a Halloween mani even be too much?!?!

Nail Diary #216

Sunday October 20, 2013
Sigh Sunday already. These weekends go by so quickly.
More October/Halloween themed nails tonight, I know I can’t help myself.
Think Ghostbusters. Specifically Slimer, the key master, and the gate keeper.
First I started with China Glaze Haunting and black polish with micro silver glitter. I love Haunting. It’s just perfect for Halloween manicures.
I can’t have just plain nails so I had to add some bundle monster Halloween images; these images remind me of the movie Ghostbusters.
So on my ring and index I used Bundle Monster plate 223. I used China Glaze neon green I’m with the lifeguard to stamp on the ghost image. He totally looks like Slimer from the movie, lol.
On my thumbs and little finger I used Julep Rebel a holo sliver polish to stamp on lightning bolts from BM-305…flash back the the final scenes of the movie during the showdown with Zuul.
Then my middle finger I did the scary head from the same plate BM-305 in Rebel, this stamp totally reminds me of the dogs that the key master and the gate keeper became.
I have said it before but Rebel stamps like a dream and looks amazing in the sun.
So what do you think of my ghostbuster nails?!?!?! Not bad right :). I ain’t afraid of NO GHOSTS!!!
Hope your week starts off right.

Nail Diary #215

Wednesday October 16, 2013
Tonight my nails are going to make you crave candy.
I have done a candy corn mani every year for about three years. Each year I change it just a lil bit. In the past I did layered gradients and free handed the lines using no tape. This always became problematic because the orange under the white tip always came through and turned my white tips pale yellow, annoying.
This year I decided to try my mad skills by doing a sponge gradient. My second gradient this month.
I was so scared I wouldn’t be able to pull this off, but actually I kind of love my candy corn nails this year. I love how the colors blend together and make them look so realistic.
So first I painted all my nails white with Sinful Colors Snow me White. Once that dried all the way, I broke out the makeup sponge. I used a wedge shaped cosmetic foam sponge made from latex. I picked these up for under $3 at Target.
Colors I used for my gradient are all Sinful Colors orange Courtney Orange, yellow Pull Over and the white is the same color I used for my underwear.
I applied polish to the sponge in the order I wanted and sponged it on to the white nails. At first it was blah…but don’t give up just keep going over until you have the desired opacity. You will notice sponge marks but don’t worry your clear top coat with eliminate those. Don’t be afraid to blend using you sponge.
Now I won’t sugar coat it…major clean up was necessary. I used acetone remover with and a paint brush and a Q-Tip.
Be patient eventually you will get it all removed.
After I did my Seche Vite fast dry top coat. I then applied my Salon Perfect matte FX top coat. This helped to give my nails a real candy corn look.
Quick TIP: be sure it is completely dry before you apply top coat after the sponging…or you will get polish smearing like me. I hate when I get impatient.

What do you think…do they make you crave candy corn?? I know I am.

Nail Diary #214

Sunday October 13, 2013
So my nails tonight are pretty scary, you have been warned.
I watched the movie Sinister this afternoon and they totally remind me of that movie.
October for me is all horror all the time. It’s a wonder I can still sleep at night.
For these creepy bloody nails I started with a very bare naked color Petal Pusher a Sally Hansen insta-dri nude polish.
To add the creep factor I used my Bundle Monster stamping plates BM-301 for the bold splatter background. BM-H06 for the blood splats and scary face. The blood red really pops out over the nude color polish.
For the blood color I used Orly Grave Mistake. This is a perfect blood red color and stamped quite nicely.
For the scary face I used a Sinful Colors white called Wisp and then
black on black over the white.
What do you think???? Scary huh!!!
