Nail Diary #382

April 25, 2016

Last week we all got the shocking news that Prince had passed.  I just happened to be wearing purple polish.

This is a 3:2 manicure with Zoya matte purple Savita on my thumb, index and middle finger.  On my ring and pinky fingers I have a gorgeous  milky lavender purple glitter polish from SquareHue called Jungfrau, make more glitters like these SquareHue!!!

I seriously love this combo; both of these polishes are to DIE ❤  I love purple.

Hello Happy Monday!  Hope your week is staring off right.  My nails are cute so all is good in my world.

This is an indecisive mani; for some reason the other night I could not pick between matte and shine so I did both.

I started with Zoya Iris which is from the Winter/Holiday Matte Velvet 2015 Collection (which btw I had to have the whole collection right when it came out).  I must say this matte purple amethyst is so pretty.  It kind of reminds me of a grapey wine color.  And because I can’t have just one color on my nails I added Zoya Thea on to my ring and little fingernails with a clear top coat for a gorge shine.  Thea is a deep amethyst Magical PixieDust packed full of holo hex glitter; who doesn’t love a holo glitter pixie dust. Thea complimented Iris so well that I decided to add some to all my tips and then seal with my Zoya matte top coat.

I am really pretty happy with how these turned out.  Plus I didn’t have to choose between matte and shine; which is good because sometimes I get tired of making decisions.

I hope you all have a great week full of super cute manicures!!

Nail Diary #368

Test test testing….does this thing still work?  Man lets state the obvious I have MIA for a long time.  Good grief I was wondering if I would ever get back on here to share my nails again.  Long story short…I started a new job and it required a lot of my time at first.  Today I finally have the time and energy to blog.  Now don’t get it twisted I was not running around town with naked nails, gasp.  But I won’t lie they where very bland and lack-luster.  But now I am back on here at least for tonight; baby steps.

I have some very cute but random snow flakes on my nails.  My mani tonight reflects on the season, plus did you notice it is snowing on my blog page.

I started with Zoya Loredana a gun metal matte grey polish on all my nails.  I added some bling to my ring finger using Zoya Pixie Dust London a grey glitter sparkle. I also stamped on some random flakes using my NEW Bundle Monster nail stamping plates BM-S213 and BM-S216 (which I love btw) using Square Hue white iPolish and applied a matte top coat.  On my random sparkle nail I did some white and blue flakes to add interest and to frankly be different and I kept this nail shiny to pop out.  Sometimes it feels really good to be random.

Hope you like this look.  And thanks for stopping by after all this time.

Nail Diary #365

Hello weekend.  I am in full Halloween nail mode.  I am sad only one more week until my favorite month of the year is over.  Time flies when you are having fun.

This month Bundle Monster came out with new fall/halloween themed nail stamping plates; so exciting.  Of course I had to have them, and yes I absolutely love this stamping set.  So many fun images to play with.

For this mani I sponged on three Zoya colors:

Color closest to the cuticle is Estelle, this is a midnight metallic blue.

Middle Color was actually my base color Tove a slate grey with a satin finish.

Color closet to the tip is Dovima a black matte polish for a dark creepy vibe.

Once that dried I stamped on various haunting images from BM-S203 and BM-S205 using my black Konad stamping polish.

I love this fun haunting Halloween look.

Hello polish lovers.  I don’t know about you but sometimes I just can’t decide on one color to paint my nails let alone two.  For this particular mani I couldn’t decide on any one color so I used five different shades; this is what they call a skittle manicure.  For these nails I knew I was going to the Breaking Benjamin concert so I wanted something edgy, dark, mysterious but with some bling.  So I used mostly dark colors and textures with a pop of color and glitter.  I really love how these turned out.

Here we go:

On my thumb I used OPI black satin 4 in the Morning.  Love this satin black, it is so sexy.  Leave it to Gwen’s polish line to be dark and sexy.

On my index finger I used OPI black liquid sand Emotions.  No words for this textured polish it is one of my all time favs.

My middle finger is base of SquareHue Times Square a silver holo polish with OPI In True Stefani Fashion on top a divine holo chunky glitter.  It shines so bright.  If this polish don’t attract attention I don’t know what will.

My ring finger is a matte finish Zoya Loredana a gunmetal grey.

Last but not least my NEW favorite red is on my little nail, Zoya Sooki.  This is a True Blood red polish.  I love Sooki to death!!!

I really love this rocking manicure.  It was the perfect combo for a rock show.

Happy polishing!

It is finally V-day week.  I am so behind on sharing these with you guys, I actually did this manicure last week.  It’s another UnTraditional Valentine look.
I call these my dark Valentine nails.
This is a 3:2 look.
Three nails are stamped and two nails are covered in hot red Pixie Dust.
Here is what I did to achieve this dark Valentine look.
For my three: the index, middle and ring fingers I used a sexy matte velvet Zoya red polish called Posh.
This red is absolutely gorgeous.  I loved it all on its own but I had a plan in my head that I just had to try.  Using my Bundle Monster BM-323 stamping plate I added some black roses with SquareHue Via Montenapoleone.  This is also a matte black polish, stamped on just perfect.  I love the way these black roses look stamped over the deep deep sexy red.  To seal the stamping I did use my Zoya matte velvet top coat ❤️ one of my all time favorite matte top coats.
For my two: the pinky and thumbs I used a Zoya ultra Pixie Dust called Oswin. It’s a super chunky red textured glitter that dries matte. I did not add a top coat. This ultra pixie dust red is to die for….
So what do you think of my super UnTraditional VDay mani?  I think its ultra sexy and mysterious.  I really love it, but I know that kind of look is not for everybody.

Hope you have a great start to your week.
I will have a couple more heart love themed manicures to share with you.  I hope you aren’t tired of looking at them…I know I am having fun creating these lovely looks.

Happy polishing!

Hi all!! Sorry for my long break. Baby Jax, my new 8 week old Yorkie came home on Christmas Eve and I have been in puppy mode ever since. Wowie puppies are lots of work but I have been loving every minute of it, he is so sweet and precious.  Well, except for when he is making messes on my floor.

Look at that face, adorbs!!!

For Christmas my daughter Sydney was kind enough to ask for gifts for her parents from Santa, she is so sweet. Go Pro stuff for daddy and of course nail polish for Mommy.  I must have been good this year because Santa brought me the entire Zoya Matte Velvet Collection, drool. I have been dying to try polish from this collection since it first came out.
In between puppy duty I painted my nails using Zoya Harlow.  Harlow is a metallic rose plum color with a matte finish. This color is so pretty. Love the matte finish and love the fact that it dries fast because time is precious when you are puppy training.  I can’t wait to try out the other five colors from the fabulous collection in the near future.
I hope you are able to add this beauty to your collection; it is a must have!

I hope you guys have a fantastic New Year!

Happy polishing!
