Nail Diary #120

A semi holiday mani…
All red nails with a glitter accent nail.
Both polishes are from the China Glaze Safari collection. Adventure Red-Y and the glitter is I herd that.
Got them at Sally’s red tag sale a few months ago. So glad I did…
The red went on great…only needed two coats.
I did put the glitter over the red…kind of wish I would have just did straight glitter accent nail. The red bleeds through in a kind of awkward way. I herd that is a gold coppery glitter…almost looks like there is a touch of red glitter which is why I put it with the red. It’s soooooo sparkly!! And I just love red nails. ❤

Nail Diary #119 take 2

China Glaze No Plain Jane take two. I just love this color.
Tonight for fun I added an Essie matte top coat.
It looks so great with a matte top coat. Once I added the matte top coat the brush strokes disappeared. I am so into the matte look right now.
And the duochrome is such a fun look!! Oooooo it makes me soooo happy!! 🙂

So no holiday nails tonight. Taking a little break from festive manis tonight 🙂
I decided to try a China Glaze Bohemian color. I didn’t pay full price for this line…but I sure am glad I got them from a Sally’s sale a few weeks ago.
This is No Plain Jane.
They call it a duochrome metallic.
Looks copper, looks purple and some times even looks pink. I did do three coats. I feel tempted to matte it but I will wait a day.
I can’t wait to try other colors from this line.
Kind of love this color!!

Nail Diary #118

Thursday November 22, 2012
Happy Thanksgiving. I have a lot to be thankful for…it has been a great year.
My turkey day nails are brown with copper/orange glitter.
This will be my last fall color mani…
Started with the brown on all nails, China Glaze Unplugged.
I love this dark brown…it’s gorge on its own but hey it’s a holiday so I needed a little dazzle on my hands.
Added Finger Paints Fall of Surprises! I love love love this glitter polish. It is a coppery multi size glitter. I did my entire ring finger nail and tips on the rest. I love the look, so fall and festive.
I hope you all had a terrific day. I know I can’t complain, well except maybe my waistband is too tight but I will worry about that next week 🙂

Nail Diary #117

Monday November 19, 2012
Happy Monday.
YaY for a short work week!! A week to be filled with food, rest, family and shopping. Plus I am finally over my cold.
Last night I painted my nails with China Glaze Harvest Moon. This is from the Hunger Games line. This was one of the last colors I picked up from this collection. I almost passed it by but I found it on sale. Wow I am so happy I didn’t pass it up….what a beautiful coppery glittery polish. I ❤ it. Tonight I decided to stamp it real quick. I used a silver Sally Hansen Celeb City. Normally this polish is a real good stamping color.
I picked an owl stamp from BM-309 plate. For some reason owls make me think of fall. So cute seems like you see owls everywhere lately.
Anyway in my mind this color combo is a fail😔. You can barely see the stamp. Not too mention the silver doesn’t look silver. I will definitely have to try this stamp again because it is so fun just not with these colors.
Anyway this just gives me an excuse to redo my nails tomorrow night 😊
You can’t win every time.
Hope the start of your week is great.

Nail Diary #116

Thursday November 15, 2012
Tired Thursday… Still fighting off a cold. I better be 100 by tomorrow since its Friday!!
My Julep Minka still looked great from Tuesday night. But I had to change it up because I am neurotic, so rather than completely redoing my nails I put a stamp on them.
No not a stamp of Abe Lincoln’s head, lol.
I picked a cute little leaf stamp…BM 217. It is just a tip stamp.
I used Revlon’s Gold Coin to stamp.
Then I applied Essie matte on the top to seal it and keep my suede look.
I kind of love it, it’s very subtle and fall-ish. I ❤ the copper and gold combo.
