Happy Thanksgiving week!
I am super excited for a short work week.
I can hardly believe the holidays are upon us already.
Even though we have snow on the ground here in Iowa I am still doing fall colored nails. Traditionally I don’t hit the Christmas/Winter switch until after turkey day.
Tonight I have another 3:2 mani with matte nail polish, glitter and stamping.
For my 3: my pinky, index and thumbs I used a matte Sinful Colors polish called Laced Up. Laced Up is a dark orange coral color from the Leather Luxe Collection; the polishes in this collection dry matte no top coat needed.
I absolutely love this collection (obsessed with matte look); I believe I bought every color in this collection, shhhh don’t tell my husband, lol.
For my 2: my ring and middle fingers I added a Hard Candy polish called Peach Pop.
Peach Pop is a creamy peach color with red and silver glitters. I believe this one is from the Hard Candy sprinkles collection. It reminds me of dessert, very fitting for Thanksgiving week. I found my Hard Candy polish earlier this year at Walmart for a reasonable $4 each.
Of course I just had to put a stamp on it.
For me the best way to tie together a color combo is to add a stamp. You don’t necessarily need a stamp on every nail, I just added the stamp on the Peach Pop nails this time. Using my Bundle Monster stamping plate BM-H12 I stamped on the pumpkin and leaf image with Laced Up.
I think it really the stamp completed the look.
I have a turkey stamp I have my eye on, hopefully I will have time to play with it before Thursday.

Thanks for stopping by!! ❤❤

Hey hey hey polish lovers!!!
Tonight I have some fun nail polishes to share with you. A fun fall color combo with a twist.
So it’s a 3:2 mani. You know me, I can’t have just one color.
For my 3: On my pinky, index and thumb I used my new Julep polish called Chloe, is from my November it girl box. Chloe is a warm frosty cocoa color, err brown.
Now if you follow my blog you may know I have a love/hate relationship with frosty polishes. Chloe actually looked really beautiful as a frost, the frost had a micro shimmer finish but it looked much better with a matte topcoat with the hue I paired it with this time.

For my 2: On my ring and middle fingers I used Finger Paints Spell Binding.
I just got this at Sally’s a few weeks ago. Spell Binding was a pleasant surprise…
Why well it turned out to be a textured holo glitter polish, I was shocked.
This red textured polish with holo glitters is amazing!!! A real show stopper. I only wish I had some sun to capture it in all it’s glory.

I really love adding stamps to textured polishes so I added a wavy heart design from BM-406 plate, using a gold foil Color Club polish called Winter Affair. I got Winter Affair last year from Sally’s; and did you know it’s scented? It smells like vanilla and it is a great polish for stamping.

I did add a topcoat over the stamped Spell Binding. Without a topcoat Spell Binding is more of a matte glitter finish.

So what do you think of tonight’s manicure??? Kind of fun right??

Thanks for stopping by!! ❤❤

Nail Diary #224

Sunday November 17, 2013
Ahhh another weekend has come and gone.
So FYI Mr Am1e picked my nail colors today.
So a little back story: Today I had to update my polish spreadsheet, yeah yeah I have a spreadsheet; a girl has to keep track.
Came to the conclusion that I have over 700 bottles…Omgeeee yeah I do, I know I know I need meetings.
So my husband says I will help you out today and pick your colors…I say ok but I get a veto or two. It can’t be a polish I have blogged before and it has to be a couple colors and or a stamp.
He had over a 50% chance of picking a color I haven’t yet blogged. Anyways he did great, no veto needed.
So he went for a fall mani. It is November and leaves are a must.
He picked a SquareHue polish called Blond Ale. This is a champagne gold polish. Very neutral. I put this on my thumb, index and pinky.
On my middle and ring finger I put on Maybelline Color Show, vintage leather color called Classic Camel.
It’s a matte leather textured camel color polish. Very fallish.
Mr am1e also picked me out a festive stamp to go over the Blond Ale. BM-H11 the far right image, pumpkins and leaves.
I used Square Hue Amber Lager to stamp the image. This is a bronze brown color, very pretty.
I think the color combo works. I ❤️ Fall nails!! Feeling very festive and craving turkey.
Much love, hope your week starts off right 💋

And big thanks to my love for helping me get over my polish block today, you rock 💋💋

Thanks for stopping by!! ❤❤

Got some glitter girlie nails to show you tonight.
I needed some glitz and glamour in my life this week. Plus I just picked up some new China Glaze polishes from Sally’s buy two get one free November sale and I just had to try Put a bow on it from the HoliGlaze 2013 collection. Put a bow on it is a fabulous plum magenta glitter. Ohhhhh ahhhhh I loves it. So blingy and pretty.
So first I applied Sinful Collections Fig on all my nails but my ring finger. Fig is plum purple polish with a subtle shimmer finish. I love this color.
On my ring finger I used Sally Hansen Celeb City silver as a base.
Once that dried I applied a fabulously glitzy glitter called Charmed. Sinful Colors Charmed is a silver glitter with random rainbow colored glitters.
On my pinky nails I added a Maybelline Color Show Polka Dot glitter called Pretty in Polka. This is a black and white multi size glitter in a pink plum jelly base. These polka dot glitters are so fun. I love the contrast of this glitter especially next to the silver glitter nail.
And finally I added my Put a bow on it on my middle finger.
My index and thumbs are a glitter free zone.
Do you love my glitter trio?? I think it’s a fabulous combo. Makes me feel glamorous.
Have you picked up any HoliGlaze polishes yet? I am kind of excited to try the white textured polish that looks like snow.

Thanks for stopping by!! ❤❤

Sunday November 10, 2013
Got a quick Sunday update for you all today. I am loving my fall mani so much that it is staying on today.
Basically I took Thursday’s nails and embellished an already “fall”tastic mani by adding a stamp and some glitter.
To read about my SquareHue gradient base for this stamp and glitter hop on over and read my Nail Diary #221.
On my pinky, index and thumb nails I added China Glaze Glitter Goblin. This is an orange glitter packed with holo glitter goodness.
On my middle and ring fingers I stamped on some leaves from my Bundle Monster plate BM-H11. For the leaf image I used an Opi polish called Suzi Says Da!. This brown was a perfect polish for stamping.
I just love how this turned out. So fall festive and fun. So much so, like I said I am having a hard time taking it off.
So be it this mani stays for one more day.
Hope you all are having a great weekend.

Thanks for stopping by!! ❤❤

Nail Diary #221

Thursday November 7, 2013
Had the brilliant idea of creating fall nails on my way home from work today. The leaves in Iowa are finally turning and dropping. The colors on my drive home are just gorgeous and awe inspiring.
I had all these fall colors in mind but I settled on my SquareHue #0813 Endless Summer Collection.
This trio was just begging to be a sponge gradient.
Omg this color combo doesn’t disappoint; I’m in love with this mani so much so that I couldn’t add my originally planned leaf stamps and glitter accent nails.
I must enjoy these beauties as is for a day or two.
So the SquareHue Endless summer trio consists of:
Surf Gypsy a burgundy polish with holo micro glitters, I die for this color. It’s fantistical.
Scorched summer a burnt orange color
Bikini beach a sunny yellow.
To achieve this look I started with a gold base. Using Sally Hansen Golden-1. Always start with a good base when sponging on colors.
When that was completely dry I sponged on my Endless Summer trio.
The results are “fall”tastic. Love love love.

Side note I am having time change issues…I miss my summer sun for nail photo shoots.
Bare with me…my light box is kinda lame so my pictures are kind of suffering. Oh wells, you get the idea right.

Now go out and do a fall mani….the colors are “fall”tastic, hehe.

Thanks for stopping by!! ❤❤
