Nail Diary #342

May 26, 2015

Hello fellow nail polish lovers.  After a long holiday weekend it feels just like Monday, sigh.  So why not have a rainbow of glitter polish on my tips to cheer me up.  This skittle manicure was created with my coveted Zoya Pixie Dust polishes.  I have heard that these beauties are all being discontinued so hurry out to zoya.com and buy some for yourself before they are gone for good( no they don’t pay me to say that 😉 ).

Side note in case you are wondering being the true nail polish addict I am claim to be I bought every pixie dust color and a backup bottle of my favorites, IKR that is just nuts.  Well they say the first step in addiction is admitting you have a problem.  Pixie dust polish is just so amazing, this is how I justify it in my head.  It looks beautiful without a top coat and with a topcoat it shines like stars, plus it wears like a dream.  Yep I just pretty much love PD, even the magical ones 🙂

My hand rainbow was created with (pictured with no top coat):

Thumb is my red: Chyna

Index finger is my orange: Dhara

Middle finger is my yellowSolange

Index finger is my blue: (I know sadly I had to skip green) Liberty p.s. my all time favorite blue glitter, EVER

Pinky finger is my purpleCarter

What do you think?  Now where is that darn pot of gold 🙂

Have a great week.

Happy polishing!

Two weeks since my last post, wow must be a record.  But don’t worry I have been painting my nails, a girl can’t run around with naked nails.  I just took a mini blogging break.  Every now and then I wonder to myself why I blog all my manicures, but my passion for nail polish rears it head and I have the need to share my outrageous passion for nail polish.  Not too mention it is fun for me to look back on all my past nail creations.

This one I did a few weeks ago, the week before mother’s day.  When I got my May 1940 Square Hue nail polish I knew I had to play with Sorcerer’s Hat right away.    Sorcerer’s Hat is a colbalt blue metallic shimmer.  It is so pretty.  I ended up with a 3:2 manicure meaning on three nails I had one design and the other two another.  I wanted so sparkle so I used Zoya Nori on my two middle nails.  Nori is not new to this blog I have played with this color before; this magical blue holo pixie dust is amazing and it looks great with  Sorcerer’s Hat.  For my three I matted Sorcerer’s Hat and added Nori to the tips.

Love these blues.  Hopefully I get my blogging mojo back soon. 🙂

Happy polishing!

Really it is only Tuesday, sigh.  Is it just me or is this week dragging; and why am I wishing my days away anyway.  I really need to work on that 😉

I have a super fun mani to share with you tonight, and no sorry it is not cinco de mayo themed.  I guess I didn’t plan that out very good.

But I did have a Facebook friend challenged me to do a s’more themed manicure.  And like any good nail polish addict I accepted that challenge.  I really didn’t give it much thought I just went for it.

Colors I used are Zoya polishes sponged on with a triangle makeup sponge in the following order:

For my graham crackers I used Chanelle near the cuticles and the tip.

My chocolate is Codie,  which really ended up being too dark for my liking but I was already committed once I realized.

The color that represented my roasted marshmallows is a pixie dust called Godiva.  I love how Godiva sparkled like roasted sugar.

Well, this is not my all time favorite manicure but it really does make me crave a camp fire with some yummy s’mores, but really that doesn’t take much.  There is nothing like relaxing by a camp fire on a beautiful night.

Do you think it translates?  I know the friend that challenged me was very pleased with the end result, she could envision a s’more.

Happy polishing!
