Hey Polish lovers!! TGIAF
I got my Pueen stamping plates from Amazon today, happy day. They are the 2013 love plates.
So many fun designs❤❤. Plus bonus they come in a neat storage case.
I started with SquareHue polish from the 05.13 Madonna Collection. I did a 3:2 mani with Happy Creme a light pink on ring and middle and Day Glow a super fuchsia pink on pinky, index and thumb.
The plate I picked is very girlie. It is the first one in the bunch Pueen26. Images I picked are hanging beaded gems and the awesome swirl pattern.
I layered my stamps. Initially I wanted to use a China Glaze grey holo polish but it didn’t stamp well. So instead I did Wet n Wild Black Creme a great stamping polish and then over the top I used a silver Julep holo polish called Rebel. Rebel is amazing to use for stamping. I even bought a backup bottle.
Loving the layered effect especially on the Day Glow nails.

So far I love the pueen stamping plates. Can’t wait to try more images out. I have really come to love stamping. With lots of practice and the right tools it is very easy to do.

Thanks for stopping by!! ❤❤

So yesterday I had some extra time… I decided to watch Netflix instant and attempt to do a water marble mani. Well the movie was good but the water marble not so much.
I got 3 nails into it and gave up. I was so annoyed by the whole thing. I’m not sure what the problem was…water temp or maybe humidity in the air but the polish just wouldn’t pool out.
I had Sally Hansen insta-dri Petal Pusher on as a base. I choose this polish as a base because it is a nice nude-pink quick dry polish; a great canvas for my marble. After I gave up on my marble I was so over it that I just repainted the three botched nails and left them plain until today.
Today I decided to attempt a chevron tip … I choose a holo polish. China Glaze Galactic Gray. I did use Orly chevron guides, I normally would try freehand but I just didn’t want to chance messing up yet again.
I really like the holo with the petal pusher the chevron tip really pops with the neutral base. My tips aren’t perfect but not too bad for first attempt.

Ps ignore my cuticles…they are a hot mess. I have been trying all sorts of cuticle products but they still are horrid. If you have any suggestions I am all ears.

What do u do when last nights neon gradient with
China Glaze I’m with the lifeguard, Celtic Sun and Sinful Colors Summer Peach is too bright???
Stamp it of course!!!
I came right home from work and stamped those brights with my BM-223 zebra stripe design; using my Wet n Wild Black Creme polish.
I just loved how they turn out.
Not only looks super cool but also toned down the neon. Now maybe I won’t blind everyone at work tomorrow. I even got a high five from the kid. 😉

Hello happy Monday!! Hope you all had a great start to the week.
I decided to play with neons again tonight. I guess I am dreaming of a summer tan, the beach, a vacation and foo foo cocktails. Those are the things I think of when I see neon colors.
I started with my Salon Perfect Sugar Cube white. Sorry I am going to rant a bit…why can’t I find a nice base white polish that doesn’t remind of whiteout?!? Ugh what a pain to work with but to do this mani I needed white underwear. Any suggestions for your fav white is welcomed and much needed.
Neons I picked:
China Glaze I’m with the lifeguard neon green.
China Glaze Celtic Sun neon yellow.
Sinful Colors Summer Peach an oh so in your face neon orange.
To do my neon gradient I used an eye shadow sponge. I used one side of the sponge to apply the green on the top of the nails. Then on another side I applied the yellow middle and orange tip together.
Wowzer this is bright.
ps This is the first time I have done a gradient and not hated it. I think the eye shadow applicator made it a lot easier for me to do the blotting and blending. It’s definitely not perfect but better than any other time I have attemped it!! Now you may be seeing more gradients from me 😉
Hope your week is filled with lots of polish fun!!

This is my mani from Friday night. It’s a China Glaze 2012 Summer Neon called Love’s a Beach.
I love love love this neon, even though the polish was a little high maintenance. It could get a bit streaky and uneven. It dries matte so a top coat is a must, which also helps level out the finish. I used my fav Seche Vite fast dry. It’s well worth the hassle.
The main reason I love this polish is because it’s bright bright. Plus no underwear are required. Typically with neons a white base is needed but not with this beach 😉
I def. recommend if you love loud in your face hot pink neon!!
I love how neon colors can make the whitest girl look tan!

Happy Mani Monday!! Looking forward to some warm Iowa weather this week, it’s about time.
Tonight I picked a vintage China Glaze polish Hey Doll. This mauvey dusty rose polish has a shimmery finish. Hey Doll looks so pretty in the sunlight.
Not really sure why I was drawn to this color tonight. It is really more a fall hue, but it sure is gorgeous.
Enjoy your week!!!
