Nail Diary #357

Hello fellow nail polish lovers, hope you are having a fab weekend.

I have another sponge manicure to share with you guys.  OK I admit it I have been on a sponging binge.  I am obsessed with this look plus it is super easy to do but it looks like it took hours.

To get this next manicure I used Zoya gold metallic Ziv with Zoya Muse sponged on the tips.  Ziv came in one of my Zoya color cubes called Starry Night that I got last month; I was being drawn to use this amazing gold metallic foil like polish.  Ziv did not disappoint, what an amazing gold!  The second color was picked because I wanted some bling.  Zoya Muse is from the 2014 summer bubbly collection this holo glitter blue jelly polish has a gold shimmer finish that looks amazing with Ziv.

Because I have been doing quite a few sponge manicures lately I decided to add some stamping to make it more interesting.

Using my Pueen stamping plate 104 I stamped on a Moroccan like image using Finger Paints Copper Elements and then layered the same image again I used Konad Gunmetal black.

I honestly love this look; I got quite a few complements on it.  I am happy I added the stamping, loving the Moroccan vibes.

 Happy polishing!

Hello guys!  Finally getting to share with you my wedding shower mani.  My lil sister is getting married next month, SO exciting.  A few weeks ago she had a lovely wedding shower.  Of course my nails had to match my ensemble.

I basically kept it simple with a pretty blingy accent finger.

On all my nails but my ring finger I used Sinful Colors Eva so Bright.  Eva so Bright is a bright coral creme.  I love this tone against my skin color.  Super happy with this color choice and  you can see below that it matched my dress perfectly.  On my ring finger I did a white base using Square Hue iPolish from the August15 70’s decades collection.  Love the name of this polish (i have iFever) and who doesn’t love a perfect hue of white.  Over iPolish I added my bling using another color from that same 70s box called Night Fever.  Night Fever is amazing it is a holo multi size glitter bomb or should I say disco ball glitter.  I did a few coats to get very dense coverage.  Love this combo.  It was a perfect finish for my look of the day.  And when I showed up my sister and I actually where wearing very similar colors, great minds.  ❤  I need to start shopping for a dress to wear to her wedding so I can plan that mani!!

Happy hump day everyone.  ps I am still working out, at least 5-6 times a week.  It has been almost a month, woo hoo!!

Happy polishing!

Hello polish lovers.  I hope you guys are having a great week.  I have been getting behind on sharing my manis with you guys.  Whew going to the gym consistently every night really takes up a lot of free time that I would have otherwise been blogging.  I am just glad to say that I am still working on my fitness.  I haven’t lost any pounds yet but I feel stronger every time.  Go me!!

Tonight I want to share with you a Zoya creation.  This one will be short and sweet but I really love this look.  I did a similar look a few weeks ago with a neon tip.  This time I did a creamy suede taupe nail with a true turquoise metallic tip.

To get this look I used my latex barrier to help with clean up and sponged on my two colors.

The main color I picked is Zoya Rowan and the teal tip using Zoya Oceane.  Oceane is a gorgeous true turquoise metallic blue, love love love this blue.  Rowan is a satin finish but I decide to top coat for a shiny finish.

What do you think of this funky french look?  I love it when I can’t decide on just one color; two is always better than one.

Happy polishing!

Hello polish lovers!  Happy hump day; YAY half way to the weekend!

Tonight I have some fun girlie nails to share with you.  They involve some stamping, stardust polish and a lil bling.

My base color is a Julep Mara.  Mara is a textured orchid pink/purple polish with an ultra subtle glitter shimmer which Julep calls a stardust finish.  Mara is very pretty all on its own but I just had to add a little something to her.

Playing with my newest Pueen plate no 110 I added a couple different images.  This plate is what you might call a buffet plate.  It has multiple flowers and butterflies in all shapes and sizes.  A perfect way to add some “summer” to your favorite base color.

I did a 3:2 look:  On my thumb, index and pinky I added some cute butterflies with Konad black stamping polish.  Then for something different on my middle and ring fingers I added some cute flowers.  I actually layered stamps on these fingers, first using a purple Bundle Monster stamping polish called Optical Illusion and then applying the same image using black Konad again in a slightly different position.  For a lil bling I added a couple rhinestones that I got in a Julep box a few months ago.

I think these turned out pretty cute.  I especially love the butterflies!!  I do wish the rhinestone was a little more blingy and was kind of hoping the stardust finish would sparkle more like pixie dust but that’s ok it is still cute.

Happy polishing!

Hello polish lovers!  I am excited to share some super fun summer nails with you this time.

Since I found the latex barrier I have been obsessed with sponging on my polish, it makes clean up a snap.  Plus I can pick three colors if I can’t choose just one.  This is a really cool neon combo with a happy flower stamp.

Colors used I used:

Closest to the cuticle China Glaze neon green Shore Enuff, the middle white is Pure Ice Super Star!, and the neon pink on the tip is China Glaze Shocking Pink.   I did not use a white undie this time.  I just sponged this trio right on to my naked nail.

Of course I had to add a stamp.  I have so many plates now it gets harder and harder to choose an image but I decided to go with one of my newest Pueen plate 112 using Konad black stamping polish.

I love how this turned out so bright and summery absolutely perfect for a summertime manicure.

Happy polishing!
