I took my last manicure and added a fun fall stamp using bundle monster plate BM-S206.  I actually layered a couple images using Bundle Monster Straight Up Black stamping polish and Square Hue red Campo San Moise.  Every nail is different, love these fall story nails.  AWE NUTS Mr Squirrel is my favorite!  I did add a matte top coat to finish.

For this look I started with Sinful Colors Porcelain matte teal She’s gone matte.  Which was really pretty on its own but I could not sit still long enough last night for them to dry and I dinged a few nails (well more like 5 nails yikes!).  And rather than doing my nails over I added a coat of Sinful Colors Bling it On Snow and Teal-which is a holo glitter frosty teal.  That totally took care of the nails that where messed up, SCORE time saver.  One day I will learn to not push my dry time, especially when I don’t add a top coat.

Then I added a fun stamp from Bundle Monster plate BM-XL210 using a hot pink stamping polish.  My intention was to try my new glass stamper from bundle monster but for some reason I can’t get it to pick up full image so I used my old stand by stamper; so you will see my image is not completely centered on every nail.  Oh wells it still looks pretty.  Love that stamping image a lot <3.

Hello polish lovers!  Happy hump day; YAY half way to the weekend!

Tonight I have some fun girlie nails to share with you.  They involve some stamping, stardust polish and a lil bling.

My base color is a Julep Mara.  Mara is a textured orchid pink/purple polish with an ultra subtle glitter shimmer which Julep calls a stardust finish.  Mara is very pretty all on its own but I just had to add a little something to her.

Playing with my newest Pueen plate no 110 I added a couple different images.  This plate is what you might call a buffet plate.  It has multiple flowers and butterflies in all shapes and sizes.  A perfect way to add some “summer” to your favorite base color.

I did a 3:2 look:  On my thumb, index and pinky I added some cute butterflies with Konad black stamping polish.  Then for something different on my middle and ring fingers I added some cute flowers.  I actually layered stamps on these fingers, first using a purple Bundle Monster stamping polish called Optical Illusion and then applying the same image using black Konad again in a slightly different position.  For a lil bling I added a couple rhinestones that I got in a Julep box a few months ago.

I think these turned out pretty cute.  I especially love the butterflies!!  I do wish the rhinestone was a little more blingy and was kind of hoping the stardust finish would sparkle more like pixie dust but that’s ok it is still cute.

Happy polishing!

YAY!!  It’s summertime!  I live in Iowa and the beaches are not that fab here in the Midwest; I mean once you’ve seen the ocean it is hard to go to a small Iowa Lake beach.  So I figured if I can’t take myself to a proper beach then I will put the beach on my nails.  Sounds logical right 😉

Here is how I got beach nails:

On my thumb, index and pinky I used a base of Zoya Rowan a satin nude polish.  Then I took Square Hue ala moana deep sky blue that has a blue shimmer and did a sponge gradient to resemble the sky over the sandy beach.

On my middle and ring fingers I used China Glaze Sun of a Peach a neon orange that freaks out my camera.  This color is way brighter in real life.

I loved this color combo but I felt like I needed to do some stamping to complete the beachy theme.

On the sand and sky nails I stamped on some waves using an image from BM-504 first using Square Hue ka’ahumanu a teal blue to give depth and then once again using white to represent ocean foam.

On my happy neon nails I added starfish from BM-503 using Square Hue ka’ahumanu.  OK I love teal over the  orange neon, who knew.

I really love how these turned out, now let’s all find a real beach 🙂

Happy polishing!

Nail Diary #334

April 6, 2015

Hello Monday.  Where did the weekend go?  I got so busy that I did not a chance to share my Easter manicure with you.  I am very “egg”cited to share them with you now; better late than never.

My sister recently got baby chicks to raise for fresh eggs, they are stinking cute.  So I thought how perfect to put some cute little chicks on my nails for Easter.  I got so many “Oh how cute” comments on this mani; I love the extra mani attention 🙂

I started with all white nails, using my Sally Hansen insta-dri white OMGhost.  I decided to put chicks on all fingers but my thumbs.  Once I decided what chicks I wanted where, I added my chevron nail vinyls stickers to give the look of a cracked egg shell.  My chickie yellow is a Bundle Monster creative art polish called no 15.  I just added this sunflower yellow wherever I wanted a little chick.  Once dry I used a black polish and a dotting tool for the eyes and the beak is a Bundle Monster Bundle Monster creative art polish called no 12.

On my thumb I did a hand-painted easter bun bun.  My first one ever; tricky but not so hard.  First I did put on a Sinful Colors BloomBlast glitter over my white called Flower Power.  The magenta pink and white glitters are in a light pink jelly polish, it reminded me of speckled Easter egg candies. Once that dried I added my bunny head and ears using a dotting tool mostly and white polish.  I added a cute face and even a heart nose using my black polish and a dotting tool.  And of course some pink in the ears, using China Glaze Hang-ten toes.

I really love how these turned out.  The nail vinyl stickers made this manicure very easy, it even looks like a pro did them I must say the bunny nose is my favorite part ❤

Hope you guys have a great week!! 🙂

Happy Friday the 13th!  OK I am not superstitious, are you?  I mean I have a black cat so this day doesn’t put me at ill ease {knock on wood, lol}.  But just in case I will opt out of walking in the woods alone tonight, jk.

I am really getting geared up for spring to come to Iowa.  All this week we have had beautiful sunny days, even the pup is in heaven.  Walks every night, sitting out on the deck sigh…now if the grass would go back to green life would be grand.

For me spring weather equals spring manicures.  I got the Zoya Spring 2015 Delight collection a few weeks back (as a birthday present to myself, lol).  I just haven’t been in the mood to have cheerful spring nails yet.  Well that all changed this week.  I decided to go with the most unconventional color in the set for me personally.  Because I don’t typically wear yellow nails.  IMO yellow looks better on darker skin tones, typically yellow makes me look even pinker than I am.  But Zoya Daisy had me intrigued and I just had play.  Daisy is a lemon yellow polish with a teal shimmer in just the right light, what a beauty.  In my mind I wanted yellow nails and colorful butterflies.  So Daisy was my canvas for my butterflies.  Using my Bundle Monster plate BM-718 and my Bundle Monster creative art special stamping polishes Optical Illusion purple and no name pink.  I did some duo color stamping.  Basically instead of adding one color on the image plate I added the two and poof you have pretty pink and purple butterflies on your nails.  I also used my Maybelline teal Day Glow teal to add a few teal butterflies just to try to pull out that teal flash in Daisy.

I think these turned out pretty cute.  Really helped to put an extra spring in my step this week 🙂  I hope you have a grand weekend.  oh and today is the first day of spring break for my daughter, lucky girl.  I was so jealous I decided I must take a few days off next week to have some much needed family time.

Happy polishing!
