Nail Diary #230

Monday December 16, 2013
Happy Monday!! I nearly had a mani disaster!!
I did my nails last night and I just wasn’t thrilled with how they turned out. So I held off on sharing them with you. I was just going to remove the manicure all together but I decided that when I got home from work I would TRY to doctor them up. Why completely redo them when I can get out my makeup sponge and dab on some glitter fun? No need to waste the time or polish I invested last night.
First last night I started with China Glaze Holly-Day . This is a dark hunter green. Perfect for festive manicures. I did apply three coats of Holly-Day to get full coverage.
I wanted to do a glam funky french look. So to achieve this look I added on just my tips Zoya Pixie Dust Tomoko. I heart PIXIE DUST, it’s my new obesession!!! Tomoko is a gorgeous gold pixie glitter dust. What a fabulous color; looks so pretty with the dark green.
But like I said just having Tomoko on my tips was just not working for me so tonight I took my makeup sponge and turned up the glitz and glam.
Using Ulta glitter polish Boogie Nights and more Tomoko I sponged on more glitter goodness. There that’s better.
I was able to take a drab not so pretty manicure and turn it into FAB.
Now I’m happy; I just fell in love with this festive glitzy look!!

Hello fellow nail polish lovers. Hoping your weekend is fabulous.
I have birthday nails today. It’s my sweets birthday. In honor of his special day I put my new bundle monster holiday plates to work. Totally loving these holiday plates because I am holiday fanatic!!

Base colors used: for the chocolate cake I used Ulta Chocolate Kiss on my middle and ring fingers. For the frosting I used China Glaze It’s a Trap-Eze! on my pinky, index and thumb. It totally reminds me of confetti frosting ;).
On to the stamping: the bundle monster 2013 collection has two birthday/party plates BM-H19 and 20. I stamped two different balloon images from BM-H20 on the It’s a Trap-Eze! nails using Sinful Colors Black on Black.
On the Chocolate Kiss nails I stamped the cake n balloons image and Happy Birthday image from BM-H19 using Julep holo polish Rebel.
Although it looked better in my head I think it turned out pretty cute.

Happy Birthday Richard, love u bunches!! ❤💋❤

Thanks for stopping by!! ❤❤

❤Ahhhh February the month of love❤
This is my pink ombré mani.
Used 8 polishes to achieve this look. Picking the shades was half the battle but I sure had fun looking through all my pink polishes.
Thumbs~ used Ulta Snow white as a base topped with China Glaze Rainbow. Rainbow is a white jelly with pearl pink finish ❤.
Index~ applied my base China Glaze Diva Bride a soft pink. Topped with Ulta pink glitter Diva loving that pink glitter a lot!!
Middles~ just Ulta Encore pink
Ring fingers~ Finger Paints Drizzle of Pink
Pinkies~ last but not least Finger Paints Pretty as a picture topped with Hue left a message?. Another fabulous pink glitter…the darkest of all eight colors.
So I am LoVinG this look. I might get crazy and add some lovely stamps!!
❤❤❤❤I just love theme manis ❤❤❤❤

Nail Diary #135

Tuesday January 15, 2013
I almost didn’t post these.
But I have to blog the bad and the good.
IMO this is a terrible mani. I first did it Sunday night, hated it and doctored it up last night and I am still not loving it.
This Ulta polish is gorgeous in the bottle. Goddess is a nude/pink with a golden frost. I am always drawn to nude/pink polishes but they do not look great against my skin tone.
I did 2 coats of Goddess with Sinful Colors Snow me white on the tips. I should have left it at that but instead I added another coat of Goddess over my tips. It was so blah. So last night I added more white on the tips and called it good. That helped make this mani bearable but still not my fav. But yet I am still wearing it, lol.
I dunno I may try Goddess again in the summer when I am not so pale.
Please ignore my cuticles it is winter and Iowa and my hands are so dry. I add cuticle oil and moisturize all the time but ugh it’s winter and dry.
Please spring come soon!!

Monday’s fix…white tips.

Sunday’s nails…not pretty at all.

Keeping it simple today.
This time of year most of us resolve to lose weight, eat more healthy, exercise more, etc…
I choose todays color since we are all probably craving chocolate right about now.
Ulta’s Chocolate Kiss.
This is a rich brown color…simple yet gorgeous. It comes alive in the sunlight.
I got this color last week for free…I bought a lip stick and got 2 polishes for free. I love a great deal. Thank you Ulta.

Nail time again!!
Tonight’s mani i used a makeup sponge for a gradient effect. Started off with Ulta polish plum perfect. A pretty magenta like purple cream polish. This color is pretty on its own but of course I needed more…
Sponged on 3/4 of the nail in a gradient effect one of my favorite teal polishes…Ulta dance teal dawn.
Then to add a lil more fun used sinful colors nail junkie on the tips. That’s a fun glitter jelly!
I think this is a fun mani, great weekend nails!!

Sunday Feb 26th 2012

Hello all. Sunday already, boo!!! Had a great weekend though 🙂
4 Tonights mani I started with China Glaze “Starboard”. A real pretty grass green. Went on great with 2 coats but I did 3 out of habit!!

Then I felt like I needed to do something with my new dotting tools. I saw a fellow blogger do cute lil flowers so I thought I would do a spin off from that.
FloWeR PoWeR!!!
Colors used were flowers we’re Ulta “Plum Perfect” and Finger Paints “Drizzle of Pink”. And center of flower is “Art Nouv-yellow”.
Results are pretty cute. And I have to say I did pretty good with the dotting tool…for my first time.
