Nail Diary #420

Today I have a fun holo glitter gradient look to share with you. To get this look I first painted entire nail with KB Shimmer A hint of Manila, a nude holo glitter polish. Then using a small disposable makeup sponge I sponged on Macaw me Maybe a beautiful KB Shimmer holo scarlet red onto my tips. I continued to sponge on a blend of the two colors until it looked like this:

Results are STUNNING. I can't stop staring at my claws.

Eck spiders!!!!  I am super scared of spiders, so this is a perfect Halloween mani for me.

My two identical nails are my index and middle.  For these I used glitter base Square Hue Night Fever.  In black I stamped on spiders from MM11 Messy Mansion plate.  Then I used Wet n Wild Floral Support a jelly red over the top of the stamp.  These are the same polishes I used on my thumb but I used a Bundle Monster black widow stamp instead from bundle Monster BM-XL208.

My ring and pinky fingers have a Square hue black base called Iron Horse.  On my ring I added Night Fever glitter and stamped on a white spider web from Pueen Halloween Party 01 plate and a black spider from bundle monster plate BM-013.

On my pinky I added another spider web and spider from BM-H07.

The glitter glitz with the spiders is a fun twist on a scary Halloween mani.

This nail of the day is a dark romantic look.  I used three colors to get this look along with some stamp layering.  On my thumb, index and little finger I used Square Hue Sierra Sunset.  Sierra Sunset is a dusty frosty dark rose red, so so beautiful.  On my middle and ring fingers I used a Square Hue dark grey called Y2K.  Playing with Pueen buffet plate 80 I added rose images in the opposite color to start with and then to add another layer I added another rose image using Konad black stamping polish.  I really love these black rose nails, my only wish is that my camera would pick up the complexity of this manicure.  But you get the idea…enjoy!

Hey Polish lovers!!!  Long time right, wow!!  Thanks to the Zoya Summer line of polish I finally got inspired to do some nail art!

I ❤ love ❤ Zoya Dixie from the summer sunsets collection;  Dixie is a one coater watermelon red.  Def got lots of compliments on this color and it is perfect for summer toes!!

But to add a lil zen vibe I added a few quick stamps.  First using Zoya Ziv a fab gold I did some zen flowers stamps from bundle monster plate Around the World BM-XL151.  To add more depth using Konad black I added another fab stamping image from Around the World plate BM-XL155.  I absolutely love how these finished out, the double stamping gives my nails a lot of depth and that pop of gold against Dixie is too die <3.

Very Zen indeed.

Hope to post more frequently as I have my nailspirations!!  Have a great 4th!  PS can’t wait for RWB nails–my fav color combo!

Nail Diary #385

May 4, 2016

Often my manicures reflect the seasons or holidays.  This mani reflects April showers bringing May flowers.  And wow I can’t wait for the May flowers.  Bring on warm weather.

This is a 3:2 look.  The 3 nails are my April showers.  The showers are two colors sponged on the nail using SquareHue mint green Duval Street on the bottom part of the nail closest to the tip and sky blue St John on the cuticle side.  I was thinking rain and grass.  Then using Konad white and Bundle Monster plate BM-S229 I stamped on a stormy/windy cloud image.

The 2 nails are my flowers.  For this look I sponged on two pinks and a sherbet orange.  The pinks are SquareHue Eiger and Mallory Street and the orange is also SquareHue Temple Bar.  I was thinking this is a perfect combo to stamp flowers over.  Using the same Bundle Monster plate I stamped on a flower image using Konad black.  Then I added a Northern Lights holo top coat over the 2 flower nails.

This is cute… although it looked better in my mind.

Hope you get to enjoy some May flowers soon!!

Hey polish lovers!

I have another Vday mani to share with you this time.  When you see it you will say Ooh Lala 🙂

First I started with Zoya Brittany on all my nails.  Brittany is a rose mauve creame color which if you apply no top coat it dries in a Satin finish.  The satin finish is a semi matte look, which is very pretty but you won’t see that satin look in my final pics because I added a top coat after I did my stamping.  I picked Brittany because I wanted a softer pink nude base so my lip smacking stamping would really pop.

For my stamping I used Bundle Monster plate 303 and XL 153.  My stamping polish is China Glaze Dune Our Thing which is a bright berry pink.  It stamped really well.  Also used my go to Konad black.

On my littlest nail and ring finger I just did one lip smack.  On the other three nails I did the multi lip smack.  And for fun on the middle and thumbs I added Ooh Lala image in black.

I really ❤ love ❤ how this mani turned out.  Super cute for a Valentine themed look.
