Nail Diary #406

September 29, 2016

I don’t often get that excited about my nail art.  But this turned out so perfect; I am in love!  I bet you FALL in love also ❤

Started with a retro OPI polish called DS GLOW, Glow is a golden brown almost copper foil like polish.  It is a perfect back drop for some fall stamping.

Last week I splurged an ordered a couple Pueen stamping plates so I was super excited to try one out.  Using Pueen Nature Lover plate 01 I stamped on some autumn leaves using Konad black stamping polish.  This alone was really pretty but a while back I picked up some Wet n Wild jelly (Candy gloss nail tint) polish from Walgreens so I though why not give the lead light technique a try, jellies are perfect for this type of manicure.  Wet n Wild jellies are Floral Support the red and One Grape or Another is the purple.  I didn’t have a green Wet n Wild jelly so I used my Zoya Frida for a teal green leaf.  I just used my dotting tool and filled in the leaves with the jelly polish.  The jelly polish is a tint so it dries perfect within the lines of the stamp.

Ooooh em geeeeeee forgive me but I LOVE how these turned out.

I did not get a proper pic in the sun; but it is just absolutely gorge in the sunlight.  Glow shimmers under the jellies ❤

Excited to share this fiery 3:2 fall manicure!

On my thumb, index and pinky I used Zoya Ember, Ember is a beautiful liquid metal red.  I absolutely love metallic polishes with a matte top coat.

On my middle and ring fingers I made DIY nail decals using Ember and Mirajane.  Mirajane is an ultra neon new from Zoya this summer.  To make my decals I applied Ember to my Bundle Monster Lotus mat and then took both colors and swirled; like a water marble but without water.  I let those dry and then applied to my nail wet with clear top coat and did some clean up.

This is the end result.  In my head I envisioned FIRE and ICE.

Here it is comparing matte and shine top coat ❤

I personally like the matte better.

I have a fall inspired mani to share with you this time.

Polishes used Square Hue Slot Canyon and a Julep glitter called Jane.  I have had Jane for a long time and she was just sitting on my nail shelf in the plastic wrapper waiting to be opened; still wondering why I waited so long to try this glitter on.  Slot Canyon is a caramel brown a perfect fall hue and formula was on point perfect.  Jane the glitter on my ringer finger and pinky is a copper to die 4 glitter, full coverage in two coats.

I absolutely love how this combo looks; these polishes look like they were made to be worn together.  And that glitter tip on the pinky came out PERFECT!!  It is so pretty in the sunlight ❤  I love when a look comes together.  Happy autumn, cheers to warm colors!

This is a perfect mani if you are having a hard time saying goodbye to summer.

I finally ordered Zoya summer 2016 NEON collection.  YAY!  Took my long enough but I got them on a BOGO sale, SCORE!

ZOYA BOGO haul

This mani started with white undies of course as recommended for all neon polish to make them really POP.  Then using my makeup sponge I applied a Zoya neon and nude polish to get this look.  My neon is called Bisca and my nude is Cala.

I really love a nude nail with a pop of color on the tips.  It’s like a french with a TWIST or as I say “Funky French”.

What do you think would you do this combo?

Getting crisp fall like weather here in Iowa…bring on Fall inspired manis.

For this look I used Square Hue Nani (08*16 box) and Sandstone (09*16 box).  Dani is a coral/orange hue, I sponged this on the top part of the nail closest to the cuticle.  Sandstone is a redish/orange DUO microglitter, I sponged this on the tips.

I love using the sponge to do my gradient looks, so easy to blend and apply.

This look reminds me of late summer sunsets and fall bonfires.

Thank you Square Hue for the lovely HUES yet again.

This is what happens when you can not decide on a single color or finish ❤ I love having multi colors and textures/finishes on my nails.

For this look I used Zoya Storm on my thumb and index fingers.  Storm is a black holo polish; GORG!!

OM pinky I used Zoya Imogen as stated on the Zoya.com website “Imogen by Zoya can be best described as a black crystal Magical PixieDust with holographic hex glitter, the perfect complement to a brighter shade or an accent for nail art”  YES!!

OM Middle and Ring fingers I used another holo color, this one is a Julep–it is called Stephanie.  Stephanie is a cherry red holo polish; trust me this is a must have she is soooooooo beautiful.

I just love this combo, hope you like it also 🙂
