Nail Diary #409

October 31, 2016

Happy Halloween!  WOW!  This month has flown by…I haven’t even had time to share all my ghoul Halloween nails.  Unfortunately, I have a sick kiddo home from school today so I have a moment to summarize what I have failed to share with you all this month.  I had some pretty fun manis this month;  I love Halloween nail art.  Wish I had more time to share with you all.  If you follow my insta you would have seen them all in real time.  So this time rather than going into detail I will just share the photo and if you want to know specific colors and stamping plates just ask in the comments and I will share.  I feel like this makes more sense rather than sharing them all in a separate blog posts – blowing up your inbox.

Nail Diary #407

October 12, 2016

Just in time for October here is some creepy tree nails.  This mani reminds me of my favorite Halloween movie, The Blair Witch.

Started with Square Hue Parizska as my base, this is a med grey polish with gold glitter bits ❤

Then I took Zoya Levi a gold Pixie Dust and sponged it on the tips.

My creepy tree is stamped on using Pueen Halloween Party 01 plate.

LOVE – LOVE – LOVE how these turned out.

This nail of the day is a dark romantic look.  I used three colors to get this look along with some stamp layering.  On my thumb, index and little finger I used Square Hue Sierra Sunset.  Sierra Sunset is a dusty frosty dark rose red, so so beautiful.  On my middle and ring fingers I used a Square Hue dark grey called Y2K.  Playing with Pueen buffet plate 80 I added rose images in the opposite color to start with and then to add another layer I added another rose image using Konad black stamping polish.  I really love these black rose nails, my only wish is that my camera would pick up the complexity of this manicure.  But you get the idea…enjoy!

Nail Diary #368

December 1, 2015

Test test testing….does this thing still work?  Man lets state the obvious I have MIA for a long time.  Good grief I was wondering if I would ever get back on here to share my nails again.  Long story short…I started a new job and it required a lot of my time at first.  Today I finally have the time and energy to blog.  Now don’t get it twisted I was not running around town with naked nails, gasp.  But I won’t lie they where very bland and lack-luster.  But now I am back on here at least for tonight; baby steps.

I have some very cute but random snow flakes on my nails.  My mani tonight reflects on the season, plus did you notice it is snowing on my blog page.

I started with Zoya Loredana a gun metal matte grey polish on all my nails.  I added some bling to my ring finger using Zoya Pixie Dust London a grey glitter sparkle. I also stamped on some random flakes using my NEW Bundle Monster nail stamping plates BM-S213 and BM-S216 (which I love btw) using Square Hue white iPolish and applied a matte top coat.  On my random sparkle nail I did some white and blue flakes to add interest and to frankly be different and I kept this nail shiny to pop out.  Sometimes it feels really good to be random.

Hope you like this look.  And thanks for stopping by after all this time.

Nail Diary #365

October 24, 2015

Hello weekend.  I am in full Halloween nail mode.  I am sad only one more week until my favorite month of the year is over.  Time flies when you are having fun.

This month Bundle Monster came out with new fall/halloween themed nail stamping plates; so exciting.  Of course I had to have them, and yes I absolutely love this stamping set.  So many fun images to play with.

For this mani I sponged on three Zoya colors:

Color closest to the cuticle is Estelle, this is a midnight metallic blue.

Middle Color was actually my base color Tove a slate grey with a satin finish.

Color closet to the tip is Dovima a black matte polish for a dark creepy vibe.

Once that dried I stamped on various haunting images from BM-S203 and BM-S205 using my black Konad stamping polish.

I love this fun haunting Halloween look.

Hello polish lovers.  I don’t know about you but sometimes I just can’t decide on one color to paint my nails let alone two.  For this particular mani I couldn’t decide on any one color so I used five different shades; this is what they call a skittle manicure.  For these nails I knew I was going to the Breaking Benjamin concert so I wanted something edgy, dark, mysterious but with some bling.  So I used mostly dark colors and textures with a pop of color and glitter.  I really love how these turned out.

Here we go:

On my thumb I used OPI black satin 4 in the Morning.  Love this satin black, it is so sexy.  Leave it to Gwen’s polish line to be dark and sexy.

On my index finger I used OPI black liquid sand Emotions.  No words for this textured polish it is one of my all time favs.

My middle finger is base of SquareHue Times Square a silver holo polish with OPI In True Stefani Fashion on top a divine holo chunky glitter.  It shines so bright.  If this polish don’t attract attention I don’t know what will.

My ring finger is a matte finish Zoya Loredana a gunmetal grey.

Last but not least my NEW favorite red is on my little nail, Zoya Sooki.  This is a True Blood red polish.  I love Sooki to death!!!

I really love this rocking manicure.  It was the perfect combo for a rock show.

Happy polishing!

Nail Diary #332

March 30, 2015

Hi polish lovers!  Happy Monday!  Yay we are one more day closer to April.  I can’t wait for April showers to bring May flowers, I am so over winter.  I need a little green grass and colorful flowers in my life.

Over spring break I found myself in Sally’s Beauty Supply, imagine that.  They had a buy one get one sale going so of course I could not resist; it is really sad they didn’t have many colors to pick that I don’t already have.  I can’t believe I just admitted that to you guys.  Oh well I guess the first step in addiction is admitting you have a problem right.  Anyhoo have you seen the China Glaze 2015 Spring Road Trip collection?  I was being drawn to Wanderlust so I just had to pick it up.  Wanderlust is a pink lilac with a shimmer finish.  I fell in love with this pink, the shimmer finish is perfection.  Typically light pinks don’t do me any favors but this pink/purple is so pretty.  I wore just Wanderlust for a day and then decided to jazz em up with a stamp.  I got wild and stamped on some zebra stripes with my bundle monster BM-223 plate using China Glaze Choo Choo Choose You.  I was going to do a black stamp but I wanted something soft and understated for spring.  I love this combo, it is so pretty.  A perfect pretty in pink spring manicure with just a little wild side.

Happy polishing!
