Nail Diary #348

Oh man I am so behind on sharing my manicures with you guys, I really need to get busy sharing more.

Tonight I have a pretty teal/turq blue mani to share.  If you have followed me for a while you may remember teal is my favorite color.  Always has been; in college I even had a teal blue car.

Zoya Zuza does not disappoint in the teal department.  Zoya’s website calls it a turquoise but to me turq/teal are similar enough that I love them both the same.  This is a perfect blue for summer because it has a beautiful silver/gold metallic shimmer that is almost ocean like.

Of course I had to add some bling to Zuza.  Using China Glaze Optical Illusion from the 2012 Prismatic collection I added some fab glitter to my tips, using a simple makeup sponge.  Optical Illusion is an aqua glitter base packed full of multi colored big bits of glitter.  It really compliments Zuza.  I love the subtle rainbow effect on the tips, so gorgeous in the summer sun.

These remind of mermaid nails.  Take me to the ocean.

Hello I have a fun neon pop manicure to share with you tonight.

This is a 3:2 mani.

For my 3: pinky, index and thumbs I sponged on China Glaze neon green I’m with the lifeguard and neon blue Towel Boy Toy.  Then I added some fun neon chunky glitter that I picked up a few weeks ago China Glaze Can I get an untz untz from the 2015 Summer nights Collection; which is full of neon blue, green and a pop of fuchsia hex glitters all in a clear jelly base.

For my 2: I did my middle and ringers white using Sally Hansen insta-dri white OMGhost, my favorite white underwear because it goes on awesome and dries super fast.  Perfect base for Can I get an untz untz.  I love how this glitter POPS over the white undies.

This is a perfect summertime manicure.  Nothing better than neon in the summer.

Happy polishing!

Hello polish lovers!  I have a super easy but blingy polish to show you this time.

Meet Zoya Arlo.  Arlo is a mauve/pink Pixie Dust, in fact it is magical-no really.  This super textured glitter is jam packed full of holo bits.  I did add a top coat for a super high gloss finish.  I loved this color so much that I wore it all on its own.  I could stare at my nails for hours in the sunlight 🙂

YAY!!  It’s summertime!  I live in Iowa and the beaches are not that fab here in the Midwest; I mean once you’ve seen the ocean it is hard to go to a small Iowa Lake beach.  So I figured if I can’t take myself to a proper beach then I will put the beach on my nails.  Sounds logical right 😉

Here is how I got beach nails:

On my thumb, index and pinky I used a base of Zoya Rowan a satin nude polish.  Then I took Square Hue ala moana deep sky blue that has a blue shimmer and did a sponge gradient to resemble the sky over the sandy beach.

On my middle and ring fingers I used China Glaze Sun of a Peach a neon orange that freaks out my camera.  This color is way brighter in real life.

I loved this color combo but I felt like I needed to do some stamping to complete the beachy theme.

On the sand and sky nails I stamped on some waves using an image from BM-504 first using Square Hue ka’ahumanu a teal blue to give depth and then once again using white to represent ocean foam.

On my happy neon nails I added starfish from BM-503 using Square Hue ka’ahumanu.  OK I love teal over the  orange neon, who knew.

I really love how these turned out, now let’s all find a real beach 🙂

Happy polishing!

Hello polish lovers.  I don’t know about you but sometimes I just can’t decide on one color to paint my nails let alone two.  For this particular mani I couldn’t decide on any one color so I used five different shades; this is what they call a skittle manicure.  For these nails I knew I was going to the Breaking Benjamin concert so I wanted something edgy, dark, mysterious but with some bling.  So I used mostly dark colors and textures with a pop of color and glitter.  I really love how these turned out.

Here we go:

On my thumb I used OPI black satin 4 in the Morning.  Love this satin black, it is so sexy.  Leave it to Gwen’s polish line to be dark and sexy.

On my index finger I used OPI black liquid sand Emotions.  No words for this textured polish it is one of my all time favs.

My middle finger is base of SquareHue Times Square a silver holo polish with OPI In True Stefani Fashion on top a divine holo chunky glitter.  It shines so bright.  If this polish don’t attract attention I don’t know what will.

My ring finger is a matte finish Zoya Loredana a gunmetal grey.

Last but not least my NEW favorite red is on my little nail, Zoya Sooki.  This is a True Blood red polish.  I love Sooki to death!!!

I really love this rocking manicure.  It was the perfect combo for a rock show.

Happy polishing!

I admit it I am behind!  I really have been thinking about posting just not enough to get on…sigh.  BUT I am still polishing of course and taking pics of my manis.  Tonight I have to share with you guys a manicure I did a few weeks ago to go to the NACSAR races in Newton Iowa.  I have to say what a RUSH!  I absolutely love the races.  I feel like in my real life I should have been a pace car driver, lol!

To do my race nails I did a 3:2 mani.

On three nails I used my Zoya hot pink Starla.  Starla has a pretty silver finish, love this hot pink!  On my 2 I did a fast dry white polish and stamped on some checkered flags using my Pueen 48 stamping plate with Konad black polish.  I keep saying this but pink, white and black is my all time favorite color combo!

Hope you guys have a great week!  I will be back soon, I promise.  I have some pretty cute stuff to show you 🙂

Happy polishing!
