Nail Diary #395

August 1, 2016

This manicure started as a nude/neon gradient.  Using Zoya Cala and China Glaze Celtic Sun(neon) I did some sponge nail art, I thought it turned out super cute.  A nude nail with a pop of color on the tip is always fun.  And neon is a perfect summer hue.

Nude with a pop of neon

After one day of my nude/neon I just had to add a stamp.  Using Bundle Monster plate S110 and Zoya Liv an orchid purple polish I stamped on random images over my nude/neon.  This really turned out cute.  I felt like “OM” yoga nails; this look is very zen.   Honestly I really had a hard time taking it off because it was cute.

Hey polish lovers!

I have another Vday mani to share with you this time.  When you see it you will say Ooh Lala 🙂

First I started with Zoya Brittany on all my nails.  Brittany is a rose mauve creame color which if you apply no top coat it dries in a Satin finish.  The satin finish is a semi matte look, which is very pretty but you won’t see that satin look in my final pics because I added a top coat after I did my stamping.  I picked Brittany because I wanted a softer pink nude base so my lip smacking stamping would really pop.

For my stamping I used Bundle Monster plate 303 and XL 153.  My stamping polish is China Glaze Dune Our Thing which is a bright berry pink.  It stamped really well.  Also used my go to Konad black.

On my littlest nail and ring finger I just did one lip smack.  On the other three nails I did the multi lip smack.  And for fun on the middle and thumbs I added Ooh Lala image in black.

I really ❤ love ❤ how this mani turned out.  Super cute for a Valentine themed look.

Nail Diary #358

September 7, 2015

Well hello Labor Day and September.  This weekend always seems like the ‘UN’official end of summer to me.  However I am looking forward to crisp cool days and leaves turning.  But most of all Halloween, I have already started my scary movie-thon.  I officially updated my Netflix movie que no more feel good movies until after Halloween.  In fact I started early this year; I am sure by the time Halloween comes I won’t be able to sleep with the lights off, lol.  I haven’t started fall manis just yet, the look I have to share today is still semi summery.

I started with Finger Paints Magenta Mural.  This is a purple polish with a magenta shimmery finish.  Very pretty all on its own but I had to put a stamp on it using Julep Maria.  Maria is described by Julep as a shimmering platinum rose color.  It stamped on quite nicely using Pueen plate 114.  I love the platinum rose over the magenta purple; it really pops.

I hope you all have a nice relaxing Labor Day.  I plan to watch a horror movie and paint my toes and nails.  Still not sure what colors to use yet; but I did just get the whole Zoya Focus & Flair fall line in the mail thanks to the 1/2 off sale they had last week; yay!!

Happy polishing!

Hello polish lovers!  I have a super easy but blingy polish to show you this time.

Meet Zoya Arlo.  Arlo is a mauve/pink Pixie Dust, in fact it is magical-no really.  This super textured glitter is jam packed full of holo bits.  I did add a top coat for a super high gloss finish.  I loved this color so much that I wore it all on its own.  I could stare at my nails for hours in the sunlight 🙂

March 4, 2015

Happy hump day.  Just a couple more sleeps and we are at the weekend, yay.  I just noticed on the calendar that Sunday is daylight savings time.  So I guess we are getting an hour stolen from us.  But on the bright side that means more sunlight in the evenings and spring is coming!!  I cannot wait for spring.

The manicure I have to share with you is a 3:2 design.

On all my nails I used a beautiful Finger Paints mauve called Magenta Mural.  What a gorgeous hue so glad I picked this one up at Sally’s Beauty Supply the other day.

For my 2: On my middle and ring fingers I added a fun Finger Paints glitter top coat called Dance Floor Diva.  Dance Floor Diva is packed full of multi size pink, blue, silver holo and purple glitters.  It is a diva glitter bomb for sure.

For my 3: On my pinky, index and thumbs I added a duo color stamp using my new Secret Garden Bundle Monster plate BM-719, which I won by the way (thank you Bundle Monster).  The colors I used to stamp are Bundle Monster special creative nail art polish.  A blue metallic color called Wavelengths and a no name silver polish #17.  I love how the duo stamping looks with the Dance Floor Diva glitter bomb.

Until next time…

Happy polishing!

Nail Diary #323

February 12, 2015
Happy almost Friday!  It’s going to be another cold weekend here in Iowa, blah yuck.  Is it me or are you guys super sick of winter. I do realize it could be worse, we haven’t had much in the way of snow just a lot of bitter cold days.  I seriously cannot wait for spring. Ok enough day dreaming for me. On to the nails…

This is another 3:2 Valentine love manicure, it’s magical.

First I started by painting all my nails pink using Julep Paulette.   This color is so pretty and pink.  And it has a beautiful gold shimmer finish which I love.  I am surprised I haven’t tried this color before now, she has been just sitting on Julep shelf waiting for me to play with her.

For my three:  I had a purple/pink magical Pixie Dust that I have been dying to use so on my thumbs, index and pinky I added Zoya Arlo.   This Pixie Dust really does look magical; especially in the sunlight.  The little bits of holo glitter make me smile.  I did use my seche vite top coat to even out the matte texture of the glitter and to give it a glass like shine.

For my two: my ring and middle fingers using a darker shade of pink Zoya Demi, I stamped on a cute love and heart image from Pueen plate 43.

I really love how all these shades of purple/pinks came together to make a super cute Valentine manicure. ❤

P.S.  I can’t wait to show you my next creation it involves Julep Hartleigh a freebie from Julep if you took the Feb Maven box.  Hartleigh is so beautiful, if you got it use it right away it will be perfect for this weekend.

Hope you have a great start to your week.

Happy polishing!
