The last mani of the year.
I picked some fabulous colors to send 2012 out with a bang!!!
I actually did a glitzy blue gradient mani using polishes with New Year names!!
Started with China Glaze Blue Bells Ring from this years holiday collection on all my nails. This color is gorge on its own but wow is it stinky!! Blue bells ring is a stunning silver/blue foil.
For some added fun I added a darker blue on the tips using China Glaze Blue Year’s Eve. This is from last years holiday collection.
Now for the glitz. I have been dying to try this color since summer!! But decided I’d wait to wear it on New Years, finally the day has arrived. Wet n Wild Fergie polish New Years Kiss. This is a fine sliver glitter with these fun holo bar glitters. It’s super fun and over the top, I love it!! Are you wearing glitter on your nails for New Years??

I hope you all a great safe night. Until next year…cheers!

TGIF but really I only worked 2 days this week so I can’t complain, my kind of week!!
I did my nails the other night but I am just now getting to showing them to you.
Started with China Glaze Champagne Kisses from the 2012 Holiday Joy collection. A lovely gift from my stepmom. In fact she got me 4 regular bottles of China Glaze polish from the Holiday joy collection and a China Glaze holiday charms 4 mini bottle set….score!! Even better I didn’t have any of them in my collection yet!! That is amazing.
I wore the Champagne kisses for a day and then stamped them last night.
Using my bundle monster plate 21 I added these adorable stars. I love stars. In fact I have three stars tattooed on my back.
The glitter and the stars is a gorgeous combo, in my opinion. I am loving this dense rose gold glitter polish! It’s very glamorous!!
I was hoping for some sun to get fabulous pictures, these pictures really don’t do this polish justice. But no such luck…. it’s a snowy day here in Iowa. If you don’t have champagne kisses I really suggest you pick this beauty up. I think it would make a fab NYE polish.

4 more days til Merry Christmas!! One more work day.
Tonight’s mani inspiration is gifts, specially gold wrapped gifts.
Gold wrapped gifts have a special place in my heart. Until the age of 25 I worked at a family run business, a high scale jewelry store called Josephs. I worked there for 10 years. I started in the gift wrap department in high school.
Yeah that’s right I was a professional gift wrapper in high school.
I always think of Josephs this time of year…ahhh retail. I wrapped so many lovely gifts and handmade so many bows this time of year. It truly was an amazing job to have…a they were a wonderful company to work for, so many fond memories.
On to my nails…
Started with China Glaze Holly-Day. This is a dark dark green. I def. needed to do 3 coats. It’s a rich looking green…a perfect back drop for my gold presents.
Decided on my Revlon Gold Coin and a BM-205 stamping plate. I choose this gold because I have stamped with it before and it’s great for stamping.
I didn’t go too crazy with the stamp just did a one to two on the tips.
Speaking of gifts… I have not wrapped one yet this year…I better get busy, tick tock!!

Monday December 17, 2012
7 days until Christmas!!
Started with a red and green basic mani last night.
Decided to use one of my favorite new polishes this season. Color Club Berry and Bright, a gorgeous metallic red. Did my ring finger in my new China Glaze Running in Circles. It’s from the latest the Cirque du soleil line. It’s a bright glittery Christmas green.
Needless to say I was tired of just the red and green after a day.
Decided to add some festive stamps to liven things up!!
I used my Sinful colors Snow me White. And my bundle monster plates BM-209 and BM-302. I did a fun wavy dot stamp to look like ornaments, a bell and holly.
Used my dotting tool to do a little fill in for extra pizzazz.
Did a few gold accents with Color Club Winter Affair.
I think they turned out pretty cute! Very festive.
Hoping for a quick week, bring on the holidays!!

Nail Diary #125

Thursday December 13, 2012
After the last mani…I am keeping these nails easy breezy this time.
Glittery Green it is…Color Club Ho-Ho-Holly.
Not only is this color super cute. But it is also scented…smells like Christmas!! I found myself sniffing my hands all day, lol.
I did try stamping these with gold gifts but was unhappy with results so I gladly covered them with another coat of green.
Next time I try my gift stamp it will have to be with a creme green base. Metallic on glittery does not work at all for me.
Anyways I really hope Color Club polishes start showing up at Sally’s on a regular basis.

PS pip stopped by the light box to check out my nails… She is always on the go so its hard to catch a good pic of her 🙂
