Nail Diary #281

I have another fun RWB manicure to show you.

I have three red nails my thumb, index and pinky.  The red I picked is SquareHue Fifth Avenue.  Fifth Avenue is one of my all time favorite red creme polishes from the Dec13 NewYork passport collection.  Over Fifth Avenue I added some RWB glitter.  It’s a Sally Hansen Color Frenzy glitter that I found at Target the other day called Red, White & Hue.  Red, White & Hue is a clear jelly polish packed pull of RWB multi size glitters.  I think it looks really good over the red base, very festive.

On my middle and ring fingers I used a Julep blue polish called Bailey.  Bailey is a bright blue (almost neon) jelly polish.  I thought this jelly blue would be perfect for stamp layering.  A jelly polish means it is almost see through just like jello!  So over two coats of Bailey I stamped on some stars using my Konad white stamping polish and Bundle Monster plate BM-021.  Then I added a clear coat and another thin layer of Bailey.  Once that was dry I did the same process again just making sure to slightly move the position of the star stamp.  This created a 3D effect.  I really love how it turned out.

Woa It’s been a busy week.  So busy I am seeing STARS!!  But seriously TGIF!!!!  Oh Friday’s how I love thee.

Today’s look is very patriotic.  I just love patriotic nails; they are so fun to create.  Not to mention the 4th of July is my wedding anniversary so that day is extra, extra special to me.

This is 3:2 mani.  Meaning three nails are one look and two are a different look.  By the way I totally made that term it up so it’s not a technical or anything, lol!

On my pinky, index and thumbs I used Sinful Colors Embers Only.  At first I wasn’t sure about Embers Only but once I added my top coat I came to love it.  Embers Only is a red jelly full of  hex glitter with a semi pink finish.  The pink is so slight so I would lean to calling this mostly a true red.  It reminds me of a glitter jelly sandwich without all the work.

On my middle and ring fingers I used this fantastical OPI glitter called In True Stafani Fashion.  I played with In True Stafani Fashion a few weeks ago on my tips but I just had to play with it some more.  This glitter polish is so amazing.  Maybe my all time favorite “in your face” glitter.  I love the sparkle and I love the formula.  It is just perfect!

Ok now for some 4th of July patriotic dazzle.  On all my fingers I stamped on a multi size star image using Pueen plate 44.  On the glitter nails I stamped them in Bundle Monster Blue, I love the blue over the silver holo glitter.  On the red nails I used a silver Julep holo polish called Rebel.  Rebel is an amazing for stamping.  Just to be different on my red thumbs I used the furthest left star image.

I am pleased with how this turned out, in the sunlight it really dazzles.  I can’t wait to do a couple more RWB manis in the next week.  I have some ideas so hopefully they translate well on to my tiny little canvases.

Have a great weekend!!!

Just a simple Sunday around here today.  Sometimes it is nice to wear a simple mani with a color you love.

I was out and about on Friday night and made an Ulta stop.  Guess what they had Zoya buy 2 get 1 free.  Of course I could not pass up getting some.  It was hard to choose just three but I settled on HarperRocha, and Binx.

I just had to try Zoya Rocha first.  Rocha is from the Summer 2014 Tickled Collection.  I have been admiring Rocha in all my favorite nail blogs and Instagram feeds.  I was super happy to get it to try it out.  Love the color it’s a bright orange creme; I was surprised to realize my bottle was thick and hard to apply.   I heard so many good reviews on this formula.  I am thinking some my bottle wasn’t closed all the way because there was some messiness around the top when I first opened it.  But happy that I had some Seche Restore on hand to help thin it out.  Once I added my Restore all was well, what a life saver.

I really need to learn to start opening up and checking out my bottles before I buy.

Rocha is a perfect shade of orange for summertime, so pleased I added it to my collection

Hope you have a great evening.

Just another ‘Mani’c  Monday.

I did have a Sunday mani to share with you but I didn’t love how it turned out so I came straight home from work and redid my nails.  That means my Sunday mani lasted less than 24 hours.  So sad  and such an epic waste of polish.  I guess you could say I had a little blogger fit.  Oh well it happens to best of us right.

No worries tonight to save time I picked a polish that I knew would dry quickly.  It’s a complex LOreal polish from the Gold Dust line called Too Dimensional?  This beauty is a textured glitter delight that is matte and dries quickly, bonus.  The base glitter color is violet but it also has a gold glitter finish.  You will notice Too Dimensional?  has a couple glitter sizes which adds to it’s fabulosity.

Well, I must say I am much happier with my nails now.  Now I can have nail polish addict peace of mind, at least for a couple days 🙂

Here is Friday Night quickie for you!

Walgreens just recently had Sinful Colors on sale for 99 cents each and of course I bought a few.

You may notice tonight’s colors are very similar to my favorite brand Zoya’s Pixie Dust polish.

First I started with a creme base.  This is a 3:2 mani:

On my thumbs, index and pinkies I started with a sunflower yellow Sinful Colors creme called Pull Over.

On my middle and ring fingers I used a Sinful Colors orange called Clementine as my undies.

I wasn’t sure how my glitters would cover so when in doubt apply a base color.  It just saves time in the long run.

Over my yellow nails I added Face the Facets.  I was pleasantly surprised to find out that Face the Facets is a textured glitter very similar to say Pixie Dusts.  I mean wow what a beauty.

Over my orange nails I added Orange Crush.  Oh man another Pixie Dust dupe for only 99 cents a bottle.  Jackpot!!

My intentions in the beginning were to stamp over this orange and yellow mani.  I wanted some sunflower looking stamps from Pueen Buffet Plate 54.  But once I put on these Pixie Dust dupes I almost abandoned that plan because these were so amazing on their own.  But my stamps won out, I just had to see if it would look like I thought it would.  It turned out pretty but I really wish I had never stamped over these gems.

Hope you guys have a lovely weekend, full of beauty and nail polish.

The other night I was gazing in my Great Wall o Polish looking for some inspiration.  My polishes are all organized by brand and then by color kind of like a rainbow.   I know it’s a bit OCD but it keeps me organized.  Well, I had this row of lovely shades of coral that just called OMBRE to me.

Sinful Corals

Mani  Coral Inspiration

This is my Sinful Ombre with a touch of Julep:

Lightest shade on my thumbs:  Orange Cream

Index:  Island Coral

Middle:  Eva So Bright

Ring:  Timbleberry

Darkest shade on my pinky: Julep Sarah a coral glitter jelly over Timbleberry

I must say I love these coral hues.  They look so pretty against my pale tanless skin.

I was a bit disappointed that  Eva So Bright and Timbleberry are so similar.  But oh well I still love this look.

What your favorite coral polish color?
