Nail Diary #366

October 28, 2015

Happy Hump day!  Yay, half way to the weekend and not too mention just a couple days away from Halloween.  I am just a little behind sharing my Halloween nails with you all.  So I think I am going to have to share a mani every day until Halloween.  So, sorry in advance for Halloween nail overload; this what happens when you procrastinate and then all the sudden October is almost over.

This one is super fun.  I have been having fun trying to perfect my water marbling skills.  This is a glow in the dark spooky marble.

Colors used are:  My base is Sally Hansen Insta-Dri white OMGhost.  Which I am totally freaked out because this is my favorite underwear for nail art and the bottle is almost empty, ECK!!!!  Why is it so hard to find quick dry whites?  #NAILPOLISHPROBS!  Anyhow OMGhost was the base for Sinful Colors Glow in the Dark, and yep that is the name how original huh lol.

My marble colors are:  Wet n Wild green Stand the test of lime, Wet n Wild orange The Clock strikes Orange and Sinful Colors dark purple Let’s Talk.  Turned out pretty cool; super stoked that I am getting better with each marble!

Of course I had to stamp it:

I added a Trick or Treat image from Messy Mansion plate MM22 and some CREEPY eyes from bundle monster plate BM-H08.

I love how these turned out.

Funny story I did them just in time for the haunted house we went to a few weeks ago.  As I was walking through the black light room I could not stop staring at my glowing talons!!  HAHA

Hello weekend.  I am in full Halloween nail mode.  I am sad only one more week until my favorite month of the year is over.  Time flies when you are having fun.

This month Bundle Monster came out with new fall/halloween themed nail stamping plates; so exciting.  Of course I had to have them, and yes I absolutely love this stamping set.  So many fun images to play with.

For this mani I sponged on three Zoya colors:

Color closest to the cuticle is Estelle, this is a midnight metallic blue.

Middle Color was actually my base color Tove a slate grey with a satin finish.

Color closet to the tip is Dovima a black matte polish for a dark creepy vibe.

Once that dried I stamped on various haunting images from BM-S203 and BM-S205 using my black Konad stamping polish.

I love this fun haunting Halloween look.

Happy almost Friday fellow nail polish lovers.  I don’t know about you but it has been a long long week.  So glad it is almost over.

Tonight my nails are all dressed up for Halloween.  Tiger nails RAWR!

I was having nail block one night and someone challenged me on Facebook to do some wild Tiger nails.  I really don’t think he thought I could pull it off but I really think they turned out freaking wild.

To get my tiger look I sponged on some tiger colors and then using my bundle monster stamping plate BM-613 I added black tiger stripes.

My tiger colors are:

Square Hue frosty white Arctic Frost

Zoya orange pixie dust Beatrix

China Glaze orange Stoked to be soaked

And last but not least Square Hue copper Crown Drive

And to add some interest and be different I did a matte pinky using Square Hue black Via Montenapoleone.

What do you think of this wild look?  I really love the little bit of bling from the pixie dust and frosty white.  I would def do this look again.

Have a FAB weekend!  I will never want it to end. 🙂

Hello polish lovers!  I hope you are having a fun October.  My next mani should really get you in the spirit for some bloody horror.  These are my fear nails; I am scared of blood, ticks, spiders, and death oh my.

I started with Square Hue Desert Storm as my base color. Desert Storm is a high gloss beige nude cream color.  It goes on amazing.  It is perfect if you love beige nude nails.  I cannot wait to try this one again for a non horror look.

Then using an Orly blood red called Grave Mistake I stamped on blood splatters using bundle Monster plate BM 416.

Then using Konad special black stamping polish I stamped various fearful images onto each nail over the blood splatter using Bundle monster plate BM 421 and Messy Mansion plate MM11.

I have some creature words on my middle, ticks on my index, caution tape on thumb and coffins on my ring finger.  On my pinky I decided to add another blood splatter using a darker red called Naughty and Nice by China Glaze.  This gives it a crusty dried blood look. To finish this fearful bloody look I used a matte top coat.

I think these look bloody perfect for October!

Really gets me in the Halloween spirit.

Nail Diary #362

October 5, 2015

Happy October!  This is my favorite month of the year!!  My nights and weekends are consumed with horror movies and ghost shows.  By November I won’t be able to sleep with the lights off, lol.

I really need to get my blogging act together; since I am behind on my sharing I don’t have any creepy Halloween nails to show you yet.  But I do have something else super cute to share tonight.  And really I think these could pass for Halloween nails.

I started with Square Hue Night Fever from the Aug 2015 collection.  Night Fever is a holo disco ball glitter.  Really this is a full coverage glitter but since I was still on jelly kick I decide to add Zoya Frida over the top of Night Fever.  As described on the Zoya website Frida can be best described as a sheer, dark, warm-toned teal blue with a build able jelly gloss finish.  So so so super glam over Night Fever.  So this concludes my jelly kick; for now!!  What do you think of jelly polishes?  I used to be scared of them but now I love layering them over designs and glitters.  Have fun with it and try to create something unique.

Happy polishing!
