Nail Diary #415

July 4, 2017

It’s the 4th of July, I love this holiday.  It also happens to be my wedding anniversary; 14 years.  WOW!    Here is my RWB manicure.  Super festive and fun.

Colors used:  Blue~ Zoya Mirajane — Red~ Square Hue fifth ave — White~ bundle monster creative nail art white — Holo glitter~ Square Hue Night Fever — Stars Bundle Monster nail stamping plate BM-021.  And some nail vinyls I got from KB Shimmer about 6 months ago–gah those were a pain to work with because my nails are small and curved.

You may or may not have noticed I haven’t blogged for over 6 months.  Like I said it is my wedding anniversary and my amazing (😍😍thanks hunny) husband surprised me with an iPad Pro, which has me feeling like I might start blogging again.  I mean like why not, I am still doing my nails why not take a few minutes to share them with the wordpress universe 🙂

Here is a picture I took with iPad Pro, wow impressive.

Nail Diary #390

July 4, 2016

Happy 4th of July!  I have a super festive manicure to share today.

I started with Square Hue Stars as my base white polish.  This off white creme has a shimmer finish, it is a real pretty base for my nail art.  Using Square Hue Bird Fling I added red to my tips using the dry brush technique.  Basically you get the brush real dry and brush on your color, it gives a worn distressed look.  Over that red I added some Square Hue holo pink glitter that I LOVE called Fireworks.  This glitter is heaven in a bottle.  Plus it looks amazing over the red

Using a Fingerpaints electric blue called Magritte’s Masterpiece I stamped on some random fireworks images from Bundle Monster plate BM-S211.   I really love how this turned out.  I was a bit skeptical at first but it really came together.  The Fireworks glitter really sets this look off.

Hope you all have a fantastic holiday!

Happy almost July!!  I have some easy but fun RWB nails to share tonight.

I started this look off by using a red Zoya America on my middle finger, blue Zoya Ling on my thumbs and pinky and white Zoya Purity on my ring and index fingers.  Love this alternating RWB combo, it is so cute.

But I did add some Finger Paints Sparkle top coat over the white which has some fun holo looking bar glitters that reminds me of fireworks.  I did not stop there then I stamped on some white stars using Bundle Monster plate BM-021.  Really love this patriotic look, it is simple but super cute.  Perfect for the upcoming festivities.  Hope you all have a great week!!

Tonight I am going to share with you my various patriotic nails that I wore in the week leading up to the forth of July.  And since I am late (and lazy) I am just going to share all three in this one entry.

Fun fact:  my wedding anniversary is on July 4th.  Yep we got married at Viva Las Vegas on July 4th 12 years ago.  Now July 4th is one of my favorite days of the year and PS I love RWB manicures.

If you want specifics on polish names or stamping plates just shoot me a comment.  Otherwise sit back and enjoy.  Save these fun ideas for the next time you get the urge to do RWB nails.

Nail Diary #282

July 5th, 2014

Hello!  I have been relaxing on holiday from work and blogging for the last week, it has been so nice.  My last RWB manicure lasted for four days, that has to be some sort of record.  Wednesday I actually had almost naked nails ( Nail Envy only) when I went out for dinner with friends; lets just say my friend was shocked to see me polish less.  Thursday I went for a simple but glamorous mani.  I knew I wanted RWB and to have some major glitter on.  It took six polishes to achieve this look.

On my thumb and index fingers I started with Finger Paints Inkblot blue as my base.  I got Inkblot blue last year.  It is one of my favorite hues of blue such a bright fun color.  Over Inkblot blue I added my glitter using Square Hue Copacabana.  Copacabana is from the 05.14 Rio collection.  It is a gorgeous blue jelly polish packed full of holo bits of glitter.

I’m thinking this glitter mani is really looking good at this point.

On to the white, for my middle finger I started with Revlon top speed white Spirit.  Over Spirit I added a Julep silver glitter bomb polish called Joelle.  Joelle is the perfect micro glitter to go over my white, and in the sunlight it is amazing.

Now for my red nails on my ring and pinky fingers I started with Square Hue red Fifth Avenue as my base.  Then for my glitter I picked China Glaze Ring in the Red.  Honestly Ring in the Red probably didn’t need a base color.  I forgot how dense the glitter is, it’s so pretty.  I told Mr Am1e that it reminds me of Dorothy’s slippers.

The end result is stunning; mission accomplished simple yet glam.  Perfect for a lazy vacation day manicure.

I have another fun RWB manicure to show you.

I have three red nails my thumb, index and pinky.  The red I picked is SquareHue Fifth Avenue.  Fifth Avenue is one of my all time favorite red creme polishes from the Dec13 NewYork passport collection.  Over Fifth Avenue I added some RWB glitter.  It’s a Sally Hansen Color Frenzy glitter that I found at Target the other day called Red, White & Hue.  Red, White & Hue is a clear jelly polish packed pull of RWB multi size glitters.  I think it looks really good over the red base, very festive.

On my middle and ring fingers I used a Julep blue polish called Bailey.  Bailey is a bright blue (almost neon) jelly polish.  I thought this jelly blue would be perfect for stamp layering.  A jelly polish means it is almost see through just like jello!  So over two coats of Bailey I stamped on some stars using my Konad white stamping polish and Bundle Monster plate BM-021.  Then I added a clear coat and another thin layer of Bailey.  Once that was dry I did the same process again just making sure to slightly move the position of the star stamp.  This created a 3D effect.  I really love how it turned out.
