Hey all! UGH I am making myself blog today. I’d much rather be in bed with the covers over my head but I have to try to work through my grief. Last Wednesday I got a life changing call from my sister, my father was is a terrible motorcycle accident involving a semi. Unfortunately my dad was not wearing a helmet; sadly he did not survive. It is just crazy how your life can change forever in just an instant. If you have followed my blog for a while you may know that I lost my mom suddenly about a year and half ago. So I am not stranger to grief and sadness. But when she passed my dad was a great comfort me. I always looked at him as my hero, he was always there for me. I lost another piece of my heart last week. I ask you all to hug your loved ones a little tighter and live each day like it is your last because you just never know when you time is up.
Tonight’s nailspiration is my dad. He was an amazing jeweler for a great many years. So it is fitting that I picked a metallic colored polish. I picked a Finger Paints textured glitter polish called Golden Kisses. It’s a perfect mix of silver and gold glitter. Sorry I don’t have more to say about it. But I thought you all were kind enough to follow my blog once upon a time so I didn’t want to take a break without telling you why.
P.S. as you drive down the road watch out for those who are on bikes/motorcycles. Sometimes they can be hard to see.
😦
Thanks for stopping by!! ❤❤
Stay tuned for the next installment of the diary of a nail polish addict.

I’m so sorry for your loss, Amie.
I thought I remembered you saying something about your mom on Twitter once, as well. I suddenly lost my father when I was 18 to a heart attack. My mom is still here, but she has advanced early senile dementia, so I have in a way lost her, too. I’ve gotten emotional reading your posts about this and can empathize with what you are going through (not exactly, obviously, but with the overall situation). Please do not hesitate to reach out if you need somebody to talk to.
Beautiful polish choice for honoring your father.

I am so sorry you’re in pain Amie! Loosing your dad, I cannot imagine.
Oddly, when I forced myself to post when I lost someone a while back, the positive comments and warmth I received from my readers kind of helped. I say oddly, because I didn’t expect anything would ever help and I wouldn’t talk to anyone in ‘real life’.
I’m sharing this, because I’m glad you posted about this – we get a chance to send you positive energy and strength, and I hope your parents rest in peace, together.
From the bottom of my heart, take care of yourself.
